Wendy's — Restaurant in Redwood City

Terrible service! Some of the worst I've ever had. I literally had to argue with the guy at the drive thru for a baked potato. He kept telling that there was no such thing as a chili cheese baked potato while we were looking at it on the menu. When I described it he said ok and told me the total after we ordered only one of our combos. Then we waited 17 minutes behind only the one car at the window. When I made it to the window the guy (Eddie) wouldn't read my order back to me instead he gave me the receipt. It had two errors. I asked for a garden salad instead of telling me they were out he just rung me up for a cesar. When I asked for sour cream he gave me sweet and sour sauce. When I asked if a manager was on duty he stated that he was the manager. When my order was put at the window he started yelling at a lady in the back saying "no dont mix!" I only got two combos and we got 4 bags! We felt like we were legitametly in the twilight zone! Never going back! So I thought that was it but we made it home to find we got a garden salad after he argued they were out of so he just decided to give us a cesar instead! But no dressings and we got fries we did not order. He said he fixed the receipt but no he still charged me for fires that I did not want or order! After going through all this the food I received was completely inedible! Check out the pictures! The beef patty is not even 50% on the bun and the burgers are sitting in a soup...

I would deduct another half star if that we available. Generally we like this chain, but this location does not represent well.

Today's visit was an order for two "Number 1" meals, should be quick and very straight forward. Ordered, paid, received two soft drinks and no receipt.

Unlike many Wendy's where they pretty much prepare each order sequentially, it was clear from the group of people waiting near the counter that that was not the case, so collected napkins and straws and had a seat.

About 15 minutes later, no name or order called out, so went back to count to check on the orders progress. They asked for the receipt (which they did not provide), since apparently they had lost track of the orders.

A regular their told us "you need to always get a receipt here otherwise you will have a fight on your hands.". Anyhow after bellying up to the counter finally got our order made.

The fries were awful, old grease most likely. Everyone preparing food seemed to busy to deal with issues, and cashier clearly took orders with a smile, but don't expect anything else.

This Wendy's is probably viable due to having a good location on El Camino Real next to downtown Redwood City, but if this visit was any indication, it doesn't have much more than that and the chain's good name...

Not the best place. First off, if you're in a rush or on lunch break with a time limit, d9nt come here. It takes a minimum of 20 minutes per customer for the employees to even say, "hello welcome, what can i get for you today?" Next you'll wait another 20 or so minutes to just pay for your food then get it. Said food is almost always half raw, slathered in a whole jar's worth of mayonnaise, and has zero seasoning. If you ask for something to be left out of your food, say onion, they'll do the opposite and add a huge extra thing of onion to your food. But they are just so friendly so it compensates their incompetence right? Sadly, not in this case. The poor 16 year old they have running around is the one picking up the slack for even the managers and that is really pitiful. They treat her like garbage and blame her for their mistakes and problems. She's the one doing everyone's jobs! The second star is for her trying to keep the place running. If it weren't for her this particular location would have shut...
