I had the pleasure of getting tattooed by James, and I truly can't recommend him enough. From the moment I walked in, he made me feel comfortable, heard, and excited about the piece we were about to create.

James is not only incredibly talented, but also meticulous with his line work, shading, and overall artistry. You can tell he takes pride in what he does and genuinely cares about making sure his clients leave with something they’ll love forever. He took my idea, added his own creative flair, made sudte it sat beautifully worh my anatomy and brought it to life even better than I imagined.

Met with James Shaeffer, and he is amazing at what he does. Very steady hand, not heavy, and is reasonable. He was very flexible with me and my time as well. I haven't been here in 15 years and the artists here care about the quality they provide.

Quote James, when working with me on my piece: "I want to make sure I'm just as happy as you are with it." So I would for sure recommend this place again. Always check here first imo. I tried other places but not a lot of them are willing to add their own flair. Even his assurance of comfort was great. Made conversation, but just enough where its not too much, and not too little.

Battleborn Tattoo was such a great experience! My mom, aunt, and I all went in together to get similar tattoos, and Jordan was our artist. He made the whole process comfortable and fun, and really listened to what each of us wanted while keeping the designs consistent and unique. His attention to detail and steady hand made all of our tattoos turn out beautifully.

The shop itself is very clean and welcoming, with a great atmosphere that put us at ease right away. I especially loved the koi pond—it added such a calm, unique touch to the space.
