As a steak house goes, the smell of the restaurant isn’t as hot and cooked as some others I’ve been too but you’ll know you walked into a steak house. There are a few things that stand out to me for Ruth Chris, the place I’ve long heard of but only recently tried... Pricing - is terrible and way too high for what you get. If you’re comfortable behind a grill and cooking, saving not just $$ but $$$$$ and make this meal at home. This wasn’t the restaurants fault - I think the brand is overrated for what you get. The steak was okay but it was seared on a hot flat top; I didn’t taste fire. The butter glaze was okay but I find that without grilling the charcoal from the flat top and butter gives an odd putting flavor. Again, I didn’t scream for great flavor and have had better at home. The cut was a bone in ribeye and nothing to write home to at $60 per steak. That is no joke and the tomahawk is even more at $160. The wedge salad was good and probably my favorite part of the meal, but can you really screw this up? Quarter wedge of lettuce, bacon bits, blue cheese dressing and crumbles. 👏 As someone on keto for many months I splurged on fries for a birthday dinner. They were not worth it. Skinny without substance and generally bland. I should’ve saved the carb count for something else. From a Ruth Chris perspective on a chain, that’s where we leave off. The rest I felt was local business owned and managed and I’d like to try another Ruth restaurant to see if the service is similar. Coming from CT on a weekend for a trip on the town, the sign in the store said business casual dress required, to which myself not my brother were dressed or equipped for. We went out clothes shopping to match the code and came back for our reservation to find the bar filled with people in Walmart attire. Seriously? Are you trying to present like an upscale place and just letting everyone in to fill the monthly sales requirement? This upset me as I spent money to get in just to spend more money on a steak I could’ve cooked at home - see former review. The waitress took our order in which we opted for a flight of wine between two guys, total $96 or $48 a piece. When each wine came out glasses had been empty for 15 minutes and she simple dropped them off and walked. What were we drinking that made for a special flight? As an avid wine drinker I wanted to know what I was sipping on, but she dropped and walked without a look back. At one point we started drinking water because the wine never came. I believe this was a four glass flight but when we were done with the meal the waitress brought our check and didn’t even speak of more wine. Where was the fourth glass? Back to Ruth Chris bottom line. At this time I was frustrated by price, experience, and the waitress and didn’t bother asking. My brother and I had our steaks and salads and we enjoyed a good time, but we’d have had a better time at Outback Steakhouse where the prices are decent, the smell is less than burned, and the waitresses check in or you at least feel better being forgotten because you’re paying $75 and not $300 for a meal. In my experience eating steak at home and on the town; leave Ruth Chris on the roadside with the dead roadkill. It’s not worth the price effort or being treated like a second-class citizen paying 1% prices.

We came and had dinner tonight, staff was really friendly and helpful. Never had to overwait for anything. Ambience: dimly lit, still enough lighting to read a menu, pretty, updated and modern. Romantic, nice place for dates, lots of booths around the restaurant. Feels intimate. Food: Tuna Stack: it was okay, not much tuna, lots of veggies. Too much wontons served with such a small amount. I think 3 pieces would've sufficed. The tuna and veggies are cut in chunks so it was hard to add on the wontons because they were so big, not spreadable. Had their prix fixe menu option, I had their -cesar salad: wouldn't recommend it, the lettuce didn't taste freshly chopped, it was a bit wilted and somewhat wet to the point where when they tossed the dressing in, it watered down the dressing. You can see the dressing but I think the quality of the lettuce watered it down. Croutons were very moist too, barely any crunch. Quite disappointing. -Upgraded Rib eye: really full flavored, can't go wrong with a rib eye, plate it was served on was sizzling hot. Well seasoned too. But it was overcooked due to the hot plate. Which made it cook to med well, I ordered medium. -Lobster tail: super flavorful, I loved the seasoning they used. It was cooked perfect, moist juicy and delicious. Kids loved this too. -Garlic mashed potatoes: the potatoes were good, thick creamy, but didn't taste any hint of garlic at all in it. I think it couldve used garlic, more butter and cream, it solidified a lot and became stiff scoops after a little bit of time. -Kids broiled salmon with broccoli: salmon was simply seasoned, kids loved it. Broccoli was really over cooked, but kids were fine with it They plated the broccoli nicely too. -Truffle Lob Mac: extremely huge, I thought it would be a small side but it was enough to be an entrée easily. Lobster was a bit dry and crumbly, with some bigger pieces that did look like Lobster. I couldn't taste much truffle at all. Sauce was a bit runny, it didn't feel like Mac n cheese. It felt like Lobster pasta with cream sauce. - dessert: rum raisin bread pudding and kids ice cream it was really good. Pudding was delicious kids loved it. Drinks: ordered a glass of the prisoner red blend. I've had this before so I got it, yummy wine with steak. We just had regular ice water...tastes gross, like Nevada dessert water. Even my kids mentioned it tasted odd but you can avoid that considering it's dessert tap water. Service: Very professional and prompt service from all staff members. Greet in the front as we arrived and left was done. Food runner, server, etc were all friendly and attentive. I would come again, but I would try other things. The main items were good, but sides and apps needed more attention to detail in freshness and textures. In comparison to other steakhouses,I've definitely had better but Ruth's did an average job. They could've done better for the price point, but I would give it a chance in the future maybe when covid dies down.

This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a Ruth's Chris restaurant. My husband and I thoroughly enjoy Ruth's Chris so we went for his birthday since we were in Reno. It's located inside the Silver Legacy (now that's a whole other review) We had reservations but was able to be accommodated earlier. Our waitress was very dry as if she didn't really want to be there. She took our drink order, brought drinks back to the table & left. (The birthday guy was sitting there without a drink) She came back to take our food order, I informed her that she didn't bring his drink, so she apologized and got it. When the food came out I was not pleased with the steak. It was overcooked. I asked for medium & it was clearly well done, I dealt with it because I didn't want to send it back & wait for another one but my husband's Mac n cheese was not hot, it was thick, dry & not creamy at all. We definitely sent that back and they got it right with the next one. And they never brought his salad. They didn't have warm towels or wipes that usually is offered after dinner. They didn't have utensils to take to go for leftovers (it's located in a casino hotel, leftovers should be expected to go back to the room). We took our dessert to go. We just wanted to get out of there and back down to the Peppermill quick.

Our first time going here to Ruth's Chris at the Silver Legacy at the Row. We had reservations for 845pm. We arrived 15 minutes early and were told they would get us at 845 since nothing was available. Okay, no big deal, we were early. At 845pm they seated us, but at the "Slush" table. ( the one next to the bathroom and where everyone comes in and out of the kitchen) There were 5 other tables available, but we stayed as the hostess dropped the menus and took off. The saving grace was our waiter Neal, he was the ONLY REASON we stayed. He was professional and apologized for not getting to us asap. We hadn't noticed he was late. We were brought a small loaf of bread with whipped butter. Neal took our drink order, came back stating the bar was busy and slightly behind. Again, appreciated the apology & information and our drinks came shortly afterwards.

Our dinner order was placed at this time. Neal thanked us for being patient and he appreciated us letting him serve us. I had the Steak House Salad, basically lettuce, 2 cut in half grape tomatoes, a few croutons and salad dressing. My husband had the Lobster Bisque Soup. (Another ladle of soup in the bowl would have made it perfect) During this time, people were bumping up against our chairs to get to the bathroom. Waiters were going behind us with large trays with little room to get by. I used the restroom and a clogged toilet was in the 1st stall l used the handicap stall and was fine. There were papers all over the floor in the one available stall. No paper towels at the sink. Across the room, at the vanity were small bins with extra paper towels; so I used those. I brought it to management's attention to tend to the women's restroom.

Our food arrived. A 6oz petite medallion steak and 3 Shrimp on a scorching hot plate. Thank you Neal for letting us know. The steaks were cooked to perfection as was the Shrimp. The garlic mashed potatoes came in their own bowls. I found that interesting. They tasted to us like instant potatoes with lots of melted butter. The cheesecake was a simple cheesecake with raspberry drizzle and a few berries. Our waiter checked on our meal throughout the course of our dining experience. He continued to appreciate us for dining at the restaurant that night. Neal's service was above and beyond on a Saturday night. He was professional, personable and very on point. He was the only reason we stayed and finished our meal. No one ever tended to the restroom while we were there--we should know considering our table was right next to it. In my opinion, that table should never have been placed there.

I have been in the industry for 40+ year's, which is why I know what to look for, how food should taste and who the phenomenal server's are. For the price we paid, it was okay. Will we go back? At this moment, it's a No. If I am guaranteed to be served by Neal, yes I would give it a second chance. Thank you Neal, we appreciated you on Saturday evening.

I did not take pictures as we were trying to experience a new restaurant and each...

It felt like Lobster pasta with cream sauce. dessert: rum raisin bread pudding and kids ice cream it was really good.

They could've done better for the price point, but I would give it a chance in the future maybe when...
