Unfortunately I was not impressed with the service nor the food at the buffet. We had made a long trip home ending in reno and thought we would give J's buffet a try later that evening. The food was left out for a while causing it to look less appetizing, dry looking. The floor wasn't clean, and we were all packed into the smallest area of the floor plan causing people to run into myself and my wife while trying to enjoy our dinner. Yes the establishment is kid friendly but staff refused to take control of any situation, three of the family's we were placed around had kids throwing food, yelling, screaming, running around bumping into us and when a wheelchair needed to get by i had to press myself against the table just to let them by so the table placement is definitely not ADA, or fire rescue approved. Not 30 minutes into us eating I became incredibly ill and my wife as well shortly after we left. The waiter we had was very courteous and made sure to check on us frequently. Though while I was perusing the food a chef sneezed barely covering their face or turning away from facing the food and continued serving without washing their hands. When I requested a refund the employee suggested I wait for the manager. After 10 minutes of waiting a manager came and asked what the problem was (during this time I was trying not to throw up due to the food poisoning) I simply mentioned our experience was not to our liking. The manager then asked to be more specific before trying offer another option rather than returning our money. I then explain that where we were sat there was multiple inconveniences and the food was less to be desired. After this explanation the manager finally gave the refund and sent us on our way. The wait staff had started to seat people at different sections while we were seated so it wasn't a matter of little to no staff but yet a lack of...
Read moreSo, i should be having two reviews for this place. The first review would be for the dinner buffet, but the 2nd review would be for the breakfast time... the dinner buffet was outstanding. Great food, pretty good service and the atmosphere was pretty good as well, although the breakfast time, they dont actually have a buffet and only a small menu. My gurlfriend and i were just in there for breakfast since we stayed at the hotel last night. When we arrived at "The Buffet" for breakfast, the hostess looked at me like a rich person looking at a homeless beggar. She seats us, and my girlfriend and i waited for almost 45 minutes to even get the waitress to come see if we were ready to order. I gotta say the hispanic man that was doing drinks was Johnny on the spot though with our orange juice and our waters though, but seriously, not only did the waitress treat my girlfriend and i like second class citizens or something, but then she didnt even get my order of Biscuits and Gravy with Onions and Tobasco right... it took her 3 times of going back into the kitchen to simply grab some diced onions, and then another trip for her to finally bring me ANY kind of hot sauce... if you are going to eat there, dont be surprised if they take a while when it comes to breakfast... although i dont understand why the people around us were being served and catered to right away honestly, because i was being VERY calm, collected and respectful up until the half hour makr on just having the waitress come...
Read moreOnly thing good about this place was the very sweet waiter Hacib (Sorry if I spelled that wrong, but he was so sweet!). VERY disappointed. The blonde manager needs to act her own age. As I was standing in line, I witnessed her extremely rude behavior towards the nice family standing in front of me… it did NOT go unnoticed and I sure hope someone is handling her. Not to mention, this was yesterday, on Easter. She gave this mother attitude from the start, when they were simply just trying to have a fun Easter dinner. It looked like she was being very discriminating towards this family of six. And proceeded to gossip with the other woman at the front the whole time I sat there. I overheard very unprofessional things being said, and felt like I was watching a scene from Mean Girls. Very childish behavior… to the point where I was feeling very uncomfortable as well as the group I was with. If it hadn’t been Easter, I would’ve went right up there to complain, because behavior like that should never be tolerated. I could overhear her from our table that when she was asked for HER managers number, she said she “didn’t have any more business cards”. I hope that family got an apology I really do, and I hope they enjoyed the rest of their Easter. The food was very dry and not worth the extremely high price for my family. Not much to choose from and felt like it had been sitting out for hours. Would not recommend this place at all, you can find something way more...
