Whisky Lounge Reno — Restaurant in Reno

I was here with my boyfriend on February 23! My boyfriend was really excited when we saw this place that had huge collection of whiskeys! So we went in! There was just one guy that was running the place, did not welcome us in, when clearly made eye contact with us, not a big deal to us but what bothered us is the comments he made! My boyfriend chose a few whiskeys but he said all of them are out, usually when you go to a bar they would try to recommend you a substitute specially when they are out but he did not! Then we asked what he has and if we should look at this section and he said “ as you can see we have lot of walls here we don’t have that many drinks”while smirking, basically being sarcastic ! We felt really uncomfortable and unwelcome! We left after one drink! Worst service at a bar so far we’ve experienced! I don’t recommend this...

This bar was amazing. The selection of whiskey is off the shelves. also really nice interior. This bartender was amazing at doing his job of keeping the bar empty. While all of the other bars next to it were fully packed. Couldn't tell if it was his charming way he made you feel like you shouldn't be there or his perfect selection of choice words to make you feel like he just didn't want to be there. Although what really set this bartender apart from others was his gift of opening a tab for you then coming to yell at you for not paying your tab as your enjoying your drink on his patio. I really enjoyed the way he went from 0 to 100 in a second. 10 out of 10 would come here if I'm having way too much fun and need someone to bring me back down. This is a beautiful bar with a great selection of drinks and nice cocktails; however, my experience was marred by the atrocious customer service of the bartender. I was accompanied by a group of seven friends and military service members, and we showed up at 10:15pm on a Thursday when the bar was advertised open until 11. The bartender rudely refused service saying he had already made last call a few minutes earlier, then proceeded to verbally abuse me and my friends with rude comments. Giving him the benefit of doubt, I’d say he is a sorry soul burned out on the industry and in desperate need of a vacation.
