Where to begin.. A few coworkers had asked me to go to Five Guys. I had not been crazy about the food there before but I eventually caved in and decided to give them another shot. We had seperate online orders. We got there right at 6, when we had scheduled our food to be ready. We were asked for our names and told us our food was being prepared. When all my other friends had gotten their food, even the one who ordered his in the in store pickup line, I started wondering where my food was at. When I asked them about the online order they dropped the bombshell: 'Sir, we dont have an order for that name'. Uhh.. what do you mean you dont have an order for that name? 'We lost your online order. We can make it for you if you want?' I expected my food to be prepared when I got there as I only have a half hour lunch break. I dont have time to wait for everyone else to get their food before you start preparing mine. So I said I wanted a refund. They didnt seem too concerned with losing the online order. They gave me some email address and told me to contact a guy from corporate. I called customer service and told them what happened and they told me I would have my money back in 3 business days. They never gave me money back and I had to dispute it with my bank. The food is overpriced and the service is some of the worst I've had. I will never eat here ever...
Read moreGreat burger place. This was my 1st visit to a 5 Guys since the opening of this chain restaurant in Champaign Illinois sometime on/before 2012. I remember that restaurant was jammed with people. Hardly any empty seats at the time. Everybody looking like they were enjoying the menu items. As fast as someone left there was another to take their place at the table.
This restaurant isn't that new. But, what it does have its that it's in a robust retail area here in Renton called The Landing. Next door is a multi screen Regal Cineplex that I'm sure feeds this restaurant with a follow of traffic before- and/or after movies.
The burger I enjoyed was a super juicy bacon cheeseburger with a Coca Cola. I didn't order fries, but, the counter help asked me if I wanted a small fries. I said I did. He then proceeded to give me what seemed to be what other restaurants would call a large fries into the child-size fries cup heaping with probably 3-5x the volume of the cup. My fries were a nice gesture. I kinda think they were fries that had been there a little while and we're not piping hot. Either give them to me OR throw them away I suppose.
They have 2 of the fancy mix-as-you-will Coke products machine operated by button selections on the touch screen display.
A good...
Read moreI’ve done public customer service for almost 40 years. My motto is to treat people the way you want to be treated. Anna, the manager of this location needs to learn that. I ordered a 2 grilled cheese, burger with bacon and grilled onions. It was $15.49. This was my first time attempting to try this burger spot. I showed the cashier what I wanted from a YouTube video and he got help to ring it up. 2 grilled cheese, xtra patty(I didn’t ask for it. It was a nice gesture)grilled onion and bacon. It wasn’t made correctly. I called the restaurant and the manager, Anna was so rude on the phone talking over the employee who was trying to listen to me. She pulled my ticket and Anna is in the background saying they ‘don’t make that kind of burger, they don’t sell that’. Yet I paid for it. She got on the phone and argued at me. I was there in less than 5 minutes. She finally came out and I let her know she needs to learn to listen to her customer. She tried to argue again with me. I told her to just give me my $ back and left the burger on the counter. This manager needs people skills. I’ve been a restaurant manager and have my Serv-Safe needed to do her job. She never apologized or offered to make my order correctly. Bad customer service is bad...
