I like coming here to meet with friends for a sweet treat date, doesn't matter what you order because everything is good, but I was sad to hear that a few of us have had similar experiences. My only gripe about this location is how they handle picking up orders, they basically line items up on the counter & call out numbers not verifying that the right order is going to the right person. I was with my cousin & we ordered 4 minis to have assortment: mango, taro coconut, peanut butter cups, & a matcha brownie. The girl behind the counter lined up a bunch of items & called out 2 numbers, we were in the back corner so my cousin got to the counter last. The other customer who was in her teens grabbed a bulk of the items which didn't seem wrong because she was with a group; my cousin picked up two. We figured it was a bit busy so no big deal, we'd get the rest of our order soon. We didn't realize it but some time had past and now a gentleman was at the counter with 4 more regular sized item & called out the previous number that was called with out number. Confused, I looked at my cousin who turned back to me from looking at the group of girls (who also looked confused) & she said "I think those girls took our order". She went up to the worker guy & I think the teens knew they messed up because as my cousin approached so did one of the girls but she quickly stopped when my cousin reached the counter. My cousin explained that the girls must've took our order because we never got the rest of ours & he called their number again, now the guy looked confused. Fast forward to my coffee date with friends who all described having the same situation at this particular location. The only bad thing about this spot is that they don't verify if the order they called is actually yours, so please keep that in mind if you happen...
Read moreI quite enjoyed this little cute dessert shop in The Landing in Renton. I've been here a couple times and have never been disappointed. This recent visit my hubby and I had a sweet tooth that needed to be dealt with lol! This place did the job. We ordered a large size mango and strawberry bingsoo to share and each a drink. He got the strawberry lemonade and I ordered an ice coffee drink. I forgot the name of my drink. At the end my husband wanted to try their croissant tayaki. The bingsoo was so creamy and delicious. Love the fresh fruits in it. Even tho it's not quite summer yet, having that made it seem like it was warm and sunny out. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but this one was really good. The strawberry lemonade wasn't too sweet or sour. just had the right amount of mix and had that good ice too. The cream filled tayaki was ok. Maybe if we got a different filling it would have been better. The tayaki itself was warm, flaky and buttery. I'd get it again with a different filling. Overall, everything was great. We don't live too far, so we will be going again. My only wish is if they could only open a little earlier. I think they open at 1p or 2p and close pretty early as well. Around 8pm. They offer coffee, pastries and a small menu with savory items. Great place. Definitely check it out if you're around...
Read moreWas so excited when they opened and I love that I can get a mini bingsoo. It's the perfect amount to not feel like your tummy is dying from the inside out. It is in the landing so you can find parking on the side streets or go in the garage.
When you go in they have an electronic ordering system and pick what you want and pay. The wait is never really longer than 10-15 min depending on what you order. A little longer if you order Taiyaki, but it comes out fresh, hot and crispy.
Strawberry Bingsoo: really good creamy and strawberries are slight tart.
Matcha Brownie Bingsoo: good flavor. I don't really eat chocolate very often and not big on Brownies, but I gave it to my niece and she liked it.
Mango Bingsoo: I love me some mango and this has been my go to. It's so good, fairly light from the shaved ice and flavorful.
Taiyaki cheese: very good and simple.
Taiyaki cheese and bacon: would definitely get it again.
Strawberry raspberry Bingsoo: it is good and tart.
Egg Cream Coffee: I love it.
Honestly though, I always want this when they are closed.
Overall it is close to home and a nice treat every...
