Dr. Balser was amazing!. Dr. Tweet- no way! I was a long time patient of Dr. Balser's and followed her to Swedish when her other clinic closed. She was such a great doctor! She left last year and things have not been good since. I don't expect anyone to be like her, but was given Nicole her Nurse practitioner. I did not have need of her, but she was awful with my 19 year old daughter who had women's issues. She strung her along for 9 months having her period continuously then told her to get a pelvic ultrasound up at college. How unprofessional to tell a young woman to do this scary thing never having had sex and alone in an unfamilar town. I could not even help her as no one would talk to me about. 19 year olds are just learning about medical care and need support. Swedish was so unhelpful! Then I waited months for the new replacement Dr.- Dr. Tweet. I was hopeful. I went in for a physical- she only listened to my lungs. Really? That's a phusical? What a jip! Her manner was polite ( I can't expect her to be like Dr. Balser) but not friendly or caring and she did not listen or seem to care when we discussed my meds or other things. After a blood test she did not even look at my current meds before telling me my cholestrol was high and no meds yet. (I am on meds). She just said do all these things I am already doing and she would know if she had listened to me. Yes I can eat more veggies and exercise more, but SHE WOULD NOT LISTEN TO ME or answer any questions. I could be a vegetarian and she would not even know. Then in a MyChart she said I needed an ultrasound and where did I want to go- WHAT? no call or anything to explain and freaked me out! I had to call and a nurse had to cover for her lack of professionalism. When you are told to get an ultrasound you should be told by phone what is going on. After the ultrasound Dr. Tweet never contacted me. I had to reach out by MyChart to find out the results and what was wrong. The ultrasound place gave me results before she did. How unprofessional! I got a response addressed to- Patient- eat less processed food and here is a website to get a diet. What? No follow up by phone, or anything. No possible cause or next steps and being called Patient is beyond rude. If you are desperate go to her!- Dr. Tweet is not the doctor for my or my daughter and probably not you! No compassion, does not listen or seem to care and does not contact you and explain if you have a problem. Why is she a doctor? Swedish made a big mistake. I am off to a...
Read moreI'm in no way am I an expert at going to the doctor. The last time before today's (2/26/20) physical was sometime in summer of 2006. In general the only time since 3rd grade that I exhibit symptoms is when I'm dehydrated. Spring break it 3td grade (1966) my tonsils & adenoids were removed. Prior to their removal I missed 1 day off every 4 in grade school. After removal I might have missed 4-5 days of school thru the remainder of grade school, junior high, and high school.
My visit was preceded by finding a parking space. There is a lot of parking thru Renton's The Landing area that it too a couple minutes to orbit around before finding a spot to park.
After entering, I have my photo ID and insurance card to them and they then traded my with a clipboard of forms to fill out.
All the employees here (including the doctor) was very pleasant. I believe I was lead to exam room 12. I shot a panorama photo of my exam room from the corner that the exam table/bed is located.
My doctor was very good. Since I hadn't had a flu in ages, he managed to talk me into one. I was also about 30 years past due for a tetanus shot. That was also later administered.
Before the Dr left the exam room he asked if I had any "observations". I said:. "Yeah. You look good in your white jacket.". He found humor in that and exited after another couple questions.
I was then sent out of the exam room, out into the corridor, past the exam corridor entrance door, and kept going left past the receptionist area to the lab where they were going to extract my fully organic blood for a few tests.
The lab technician was also friendly. After having had many needles jabbed into me to extract blood plasma, she showed her skill to be top notch in doing it like other good phlebotomists.
Being as Boeing and aviation is been in the area, the east end of the waiting room is made to look like the fuselage of a plane with kid friendly things and a nice photo of old airplane engine motor and it's propeller.
All in all, I go back in a month.

Read moreNegatives: I believed that I got COVID-19 very very early in the pandemic, after going into the hospital. Despite the fact that I was sure that I had Covid, and I later tested positive for pneumonia, I never got a Covid test - but they were probably a lot harder to get back at that time. I also would have preferred if my medication that I was taking when I started seeing this provider had been maintained, but we made changes to it (subtracted a medication I'd been taking for years). However, he is the doctor so he probably knows better than me.
Positives: I think that they always go over my chart really well every time I come in. They know my history and they know why I'm there and they say my name correctly (which is difficult because I have a difficult name). I've been coming here for a couple of years now.
The provider is young and hip - he seems to know about new things happening in medicine and It's clear that he does continued education as a doctor. He talks to me like someone having a conversation with me - not all stuffy and condescending like many doctors.
I'm a female, and I don't even mind letting him take care of the "Woman Wellness Checks" because that's how friendly and laid- back he is. He doesn't make it weird and he's really professional. He has me sit in the chair next to his computer and talks to me like a person at the beginning of the appointment, instead of making me get up on the patient table right away. He looks you in the eye, he's got a strong handshake, and he recommends the in-house therapist that they have. I'm happy, as it's really hard to find a good doctor, and I like to stay with the same doctor as...
