Quality, but the filet of salmon was way too thin. My first time there, they asked me what kind of seasoning I wanted. I said plain or something like that, and the cashier said, “Ok, so just regular fish seasoning, then?”
I should have asked what that meant because it seemed like a mild Cajun seasoning. which is still too spicy for me.😂
It’s not that this seasoning was bad, just that I don’t care for that taste. I should have clarified that I wanted it without any additional seasoning at all. So that was my fault.
What I really didn’t like, though, was that the filet of salmon had quite a large footprint, taking up maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of the plate. Yet it was extremely thin, probably less than half an inch tall, and the edges were overcooked and dry! 😒😒
I don’t understand why anybody would cut any type of filler that way. I would rather have a much thicker filet with a smaller footprint. This super-thin filet was mostly dry. There was only a bite or two that weren’t dry.
I guess for the price, perhaps that should be expected, but I was highly disappointed. The second time we went there, I asked for no seasoning at all. It was better, but still a very thin filet, and still dry!
Why are they overcooking the salmon???
I plan to try a different location, and when I return to this location, I hope I teenager to tell them to make sure the fillet is most,...
Read moreMy first impression was "good but a bit pricey for fast food." Yet I've come back three more times in the past year. Everything is prepared well, the portions are highly satisfying, and the staff is very attentive to customers. My only critique might be that the sound level at the registers is a bit high. A few times the person who took my order has misheard and had to correct it afterward. This, however, was done without hesitation and they were very quick to fix the order. The sauce bar has a wide variety of choices to customize your meal, among which I particularly enjoy the house remoulade. There are plenty of menu choices - even some great alternatives for the one person in your party who hates fish. I don't drink alcohol, but the six choices of craft soda at the drink fountain are excellent. But going back to the main attraction - this place has the most seafood choices of any restaurant where you don't order at your table, and so far all the ones I've tried have tasted better than the "nicer" places and cost less. Definitely worth a try if you're fond of fish, and I wager you'll most likely come...
Read moreWe recently dined at California Fish Grill, a seafood restaurant chain located in Rialto. This establishment offers a variety of fried and charbroiled seafood options, as well as chicken and fish tacos. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with both indoor and outdoor seating options, creating a soothing ambiance for diners.
During our visit, we noticed that California Fish Grill tends to get crowded during lunch hours, which is a testament to its popularity. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the staff provided prompt and satisfactory service throughout our meal.
We tried their Grilled Tilapia and Dynamite Shrimp Bowl, both of which were absolutely delicious. What impressed us the most was the affordability of the seafood dishes offered at California Fish Grill.
Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience at California Fish Grill and would highly recommend it to seafood lovers looking for a tasty meal at a...
