Handels Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Rialto

We just tried this place. First time. The positive is the ice cream is good. I tried the Ice watermelon flavor...it taste like an icee. Refreshing! The pecan one was good to. They have a lot of flavors to choose from. The sugar cone was dry and smaller than you usually get else where. The reason for three star is when its hot. It's very uncomfortable standing in the heat. They have a couple of canopies up in the line. But when crowded the line long. Dont get shade area. They had 3 windows open. Then went down to 1 window for approx 5 min. Then opened 2 more. Every window was moving accept the one we had. The female employee was not welcoming. And seemed irritated. She was slow as molasses. Then hands me my medium sugar cone w/ice cream. And the ice cream collapsed on the counter. She got a cup and I picked up put cup. Now my hand was full of ice cream. I asked napkins to wipe counter and my hand. She went back to remake it. And started with watermelon ice it collasped. Stopped and went scooped the pecan first watermelon ice after. All while we are standing in the direct sun. And family's ice cream was melting. So price guess average paid $ 25.00. Ice cream good. Sugar cone not great. Get waffle bowl and cone better choice. The help this particular employee not with it. Needs more training. The set up with customers out in the weather not a great ideal. At least keep line moving. We will try again. But best to buy 4 scoop sample and two waffle bowls to...

Despite being B U S Y we were served quickly with friendly smiles and amazing ice cream. Honestly, amazing is a bit of an understatement. I ordered a small regular cone as a taste test and ended up with much more ice cream than expected! Thankfully it was THE BEST coconut ice cream I’ve ever had (can not recommend the Coconut Caramel Delight enough 10/10) Recap: • Customer Service - 10/10 Staff were friendly and fast! • Wait Time - 10/10 had to wait maybe 7 minutes but the line was around the side of the building • Pricing - 10/10 Paid $11 for two “small” cones that came out at a size I’d consider medium or large!!! •Atmosphere - 10/10 several shaded tables to sit and enjoy the sweet treats

Ice cream: good, not too sweet but sweet and good ice cream for portions and price.

Staff: nice and friendly

Wait time: very very LONG wait time, the staff actually take too long to take order & not having enough shade when ordering near the window a big no no.

They need to fix: put more shade near the ordering window or tree or have something cool fans to fan people who waits. Having long wait time and staying in the hot heated sun is very inconvenient

Overall experience with foods and staff is good but not...
