Read moreWhile any Denny's is basic diner type fare--nothing out of the ordinary, the Ridgecrest Denny's stands out above places like IHop and most other Denny's restaurants. The staff is courteous, efficient, and hard working. The cooks work hard to get your order right, and the bathrooms are the cleanest I've ever seen at a restaurant like this. Somehow, the management here has managed to create an environment where employees are on hand to serve you when you need them yet don't interrupt your meal.
Late nights/early mornings can get VERY loud due to the bar across the street closing and patrons coming over for a late night meal. But, I don't blame the establishment for that. They serve all their customers with equal courtesy and diligence.
I never imagined giving a restaurant like this 5 stars, but I had to. They've earned it with consistent service, cleanliness, and a RARE mistake on an order (and I'm there almost every night--lots of chances to mess up--very few occasions at all).
Note: I seriously just ordered a "to go" order after posting this and my order had two significant errors (significant to me). This reminded me that our to-go orders have had errors in the past. Observed all staff not adhering to Covid 19 preventive measures. Cleaning solution bucket was placed on counter where pick up food is placed. Observer server dressed in manger attire squeezed a lemon with ungloved hands, as he was preparing a beverage obtained a stirrer from sink area used it and put back without washing it. Also observed waitress hands touch her mouth as she was picking up food orders to serve. Make matters worst my pancakes contained foreign particles. Attempted to call message machine connection was poor. Concerned about Covid 19 transmission. People delta variant is serious. It’s understandable that we are ambiguous know that we are nowhere close to having this pandemic under control.
