My family and I have been to this restaurant a handful of times and each had it's own experience, but this by far was the worst. We had six people on this outing and were sat almost immediately, which was great as we were all starving. The restaurant was buzzing, not crazy busy, but not slow either. Our server saw us coming and she immediately grabbed our drinks which was great, but she did not seem fully present, more on that later. We received our drinks fairly quickly and our orders were taken. My mother, who was the first to order, gave her request and the waitress just seemed to have this glazed over look. I was a bit confused as she just stood there looking at my mom. Finally my mom said, "Thank you." And at that point our waitress snapped out of it and took the rest of our orders. A little while later she came back saying that I had not given her a complete order. For reference I ordered the veggie plate, which comes with four sides. I was taken back as I recalled that I had ordered rice, corn, carrots, and broccoli. I asked her which one was missing, she grabbed out her notepad and it seemed to be the broccoli. My mom seemed confused too as she heard me tell our waitress this when ordering the first time as well. I noticed it wasn't just us. The table next to us ordered their drinks and she brought all the wrong drinks for their order as well. I heard her jokingly remark, "I'm not sure where my head is today." As our food came out, we noticed that I was still missing the broccoli. We commented about this and the waitress looked shocked and then quickly responded with a story about how the kitchen had run out and that they would be making more shortly. I get that maybe this happened, but why didn't she say something first? It took me reminding her that a part of my order was not there. I feel she is the gate keeper and was the one who served us the items. A quick look over would've sufficed before coming to our table. I may seem like a picky customer, but I promise you, that I am fairly easy going. I think I'm more upset about how poorly she preformed at her job. She never really checked on us throughout the experience, our drinks were hardly ever refilled and she just seemed not very present. I really do get that people have bad days and mistakes happen. If you are the waitress that served us, I'm not going to call you out by name, I'm pretty sure I've described enough of our interaction for you to pick up it was you, but maybe this isnt the job for you. I hope that you can take this as a learning lesson and be more present for your customers. You are the face of the company after all. I don't think we will be back, which I'm sure will not affect the business, that's fine. Im not looking for that. I just hope this can serve as a turning point to train your staff to be a bit more focused on work,...
Read moreWent there for dinner last night 4/3/25 party of 4 got there at 5:10pm it wasn't busy we were sat in the main dining area where you come in maybe 5 tables were seated.. Waitress came by within minutes to get our drink order and we got some cheese bites, ordered about 3 minutes later. Then the wait began a couple were seated next to us about 15min after we came in about 5:45 they got their food another larger party of 8 who had been there about 20min was getting their food when I asked for the manager. The waitress said the manager was busy but would be there in a few, at 609 p.m. the manager arrived at our table with the food I told him not to put the food on the table until he can explain why we'd been there for an hour watch multiple people that came in behind this get their food before us. He didn't have an answer and he didn't seem like he really cared we got a half hearted apology but it was like it was no big deal to him. He wouldn't even look directly at me which is very disappointing. So now it's 6:15 p.m. and we left in search of a another place to eat which unfortunately most places were full so we ended up stopping and getting hamburgers because we had our 6-year-old with us and it was almost there bedtime. This was our third time going to Cheddar's scratch the first two times was wonderful but this experience leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you purposely go somewhere a little early so you can eat and then get ignored for about an hour. Before I left this review I looked at a couple of them and the first one on there seems to have the exact same experience that we had, both me and my wife worked fast food and restaurants to start our working careers if the place had been busy when we got there or for the first half hour we were there we could understand but the customer service from not only the waitress but the manager was poor at best. The whole time we were waiting there were multiple waitresses walking around constantly it wasn't because they were understaffed. Mistakes happen but once they realize their mistake they didn't offer us anything to make up for their mistake not sure if we'll be going back anytime soon we live in North Ogden and the drive out to Riverdale isn't all that far but with traffic and everything else there are a lot other options closer to us. Please do better when you neglect...
Read moreHave been a big fan of Chedders for some time, everywhere but here in utah. I travel for a living and have enjoyed eating here , so when I heard that a Chedders was being build in utah I took my family several times and the service and food have been abysmal every time, our first visit the waitress presented us with a list of 30 items that the restaurant was out of including carrots, potatoes, things that you could have purchased at a local grocery store. Second visit after we weren't able to get what we wanted on the first visit, we recieved what we wanted on our order and ordered an dessert and it took 40 mins for a cookies, after the wait at the table for all that time we were told the restaurant was closing and would need to leave, we promptly told them we haven't received our dessert, or boll. It never came the manager came to out table and apologized and we left. Today after spending 135$ for lunch before a card can be removed from my pocket the kiosk says paid in full? To what? So we asked what it had charge too? two different cards one visa and one debit card. What? It just randomly chooses a card? I have a corporate card and several other cards, I use a certain card for dining out. When we asked our server she had no idea and asked the manager to help. ROBERT was his name , he promptly told me it was my fault somehow and the reader must have read it ( in my pocket). I belive this is a problem, how many people have been charged just walking by a table? After three different attempts to give me the correct charge I paid for everything and asked for a receipt and a verification of the credit because it was charged incorrectly and Robert jumped me with ( I gave you you're receipt, ) he hadn't. Then I asked what is your name? And he told me ohh let me get your receipt. I'm not looking for anything just a caution for anyone in Riverdale Utah, beware...
