It was a good experience ordering. They almost forgot our second sandwich, but caught themselves and gave it to us. There was barely a wait, even though there was a good amount of people there with us. The food itself wasn’t bad. It was nothing special, and not an earth-shattering experience like how some people would have you believe. I think I would take it over most other fast-food restaurants I’ve visited. Well, when it comes to their chicken and Texas Toast at least.
Chicken Fingers: 8/10. Honestly, probably one of the better chicken fingers I’ve had from a fast-food restaurant. I’m not a huge chicken finger person, but these were very soft and warm. They’re very tender compared to most fast-food chicken I’m used to. The rating is only lower because, again, foods like these are typically too salty for me.
Crinkle-Cut Fries: 8/10. Pretty average fries, I’d say. Nothing to write home about, but they were good. They had a normal amount of seasoning on them that didn’t leave me asking for more salt. Might be because of the sauce, though.
Cane Sauce: 9/10. Honestly, I get why people like this sauce so much. I was worried I would dip something into it and taste a typical ketchup-mayo fry sauce, but that wasn’t the case at all. It’s a unique flavor that goes well with everything else. Satisfying and creamy, it’s a nice tangy dipping sauce.
Texas Toast: 10/10. This is the star of the show for me, probably my favorite item in the combo. The toast was so soft to the touch and warm, and the flavor was delightful. It was fluffier than I was expecting, and very buttery. I love this toast. 10/10.
Sandwich: 7/10. The sandwich is just fingers put between two buns with some sort of sauce, Cane’s sauce, and lettuce. It’s a typical chicken sandwich from a typical fast-food chain. Not bad though, it was filling. Solid...

Fell in love with Canes while working in Lexington KY. Would sit and chat about the franchise with John, the local store manager on Harridsbufg road.
Fast forward 5 years. We heard Canes was coming to Utah. A quick search showed we were less than 5 miles from a brand new restaurant during our vacation trip to Lagoon.
All but the 4 yo had experienced Canes during myvstay in KY, so there was quite a bit of excitement when we arrived. There menu consists of chicken fingers (the best you will ever sink your teeth in to), crinkle cut fries, toast and cole slaw with a couple of the options.
We were greeted upon entering and the kitchen staff was alerted to how many in our party. Orders were taken and we were alerted to our food being ready a short-time after being seated. Fairly new restaurant. Very clean and inviting.
Food was hot and cooked to perfection. Took me right back to Harrodsburg rode and the many conversations with John, the store manager in KY. Many discussions about opening my own store in Boise. Should not have let that opportunity slip through my fingers.
I digress. If you are close by, it is worth the visit. Price is reasonable. Food is amazing. Oh...and the Canes sauce IS the hook! Dip your chicken in it. Dip your fries in it. Then when the food is gone...Dip your fingers in it!!

Read moreI could easily give 5 stars for the staff. Very friendly, and nice. However the food was so bland. I didn't mind that they only basically have 3 food options, but you would think that would mean that the food itself would be better since the food focus is so small. Unfortunately this is not the case. I got the 3 chicken finger meal. The chicken delivered a great crisp exterior and a soft semi-juicy interior. However though crispy and soft (not dry) there was absolutely no flavor. Where the heck is the seasoning? I don't think they believe in seasoning. It was SO bland that you have to use their "dipping sauce" which delivers moisture but also has NO FLAVOR . It is basically fry sauce (mayo & ketchup) with black pepper and maybe a smidgen of paprika . So disappointing. No other sauce is available, like BBQ or a hickory sauce that could have made it better. The crinkle fries were also bland (do they not have salt?) and hardly give you any. The bread/toast is likely the best part of the meal but is basically Texas toast, toasted on one side with butter. Not even garlic butter. For $9.50 you would expect this to be much h much better. I honestly don't understand the hype for this place. If I ever decide I want to spend $9.50 on a super bland, no seasoned chicken meal again, I would definitely bring my own BBQ sauce so I wouldn't leave as...
