I guess if I had never been in the old market building I would think this place is great. Sadly I used to frequent the old market building, it had real personality, it had many more choices for food and dessert. It was a social meeting place that you could go to daily and meet up with other friends. Those days are gone and what we have now is a very sanatized and steril environment. Instutuonal hospital like environment. I don't think I have been in there yet when there were than a handful of people. Very limited food choices and some of it's good. Read moreWe visited on a Tuesday, so obviously not much to do. The stand that sells Jamaican food was delicious, and the workers are very helpful and friendly. Strongly recommend the Jerk Chicken!
There are some shops surrounding the market that sell local goods but nothing amazing. Not worth driving out of your way. If you've been to Chelsea Market (NYC) or Reading Terminal Market (Philly), this feels like a food court. Not worth driving put of your way for, but good for a rest stop...
