I would personally rate this a three to four star if it wasn't for the piss poor management done by this place. I only stop for McDonald's breakfast in the morning and wherever I live im a regular to the closet McDonald's by me for it. At all other McDonald's I stop at I have never had an issue ordering a sausage mcmuffin but sub out the sausage for Canadian bacon (not a fan of sausage) that has been my order for years. My girlfriend use to run a McDonald's and its an option for the sandwich that can be done. Well I moved to where this are is the closet McDonald's to me (less than a mile) and since moving here about 6 months ago the management at this McDonald's went from overcharging me for my sandwich to now telling me it is not an allowed option anymore from any McDonald's to sub out the sausage for Canadian bacon but they ensure that they can sub out for regular bacon (as of being told of yesterday 02/26/2025) this is just bs needless to say. I already know this is an option on their menu and now they are refusing to make the sandwich in the morning. So they are gonna lose my business. Ill go elsewhere even if I gotta travel miles away I will because I know this option is allowed but the mismanagement done at this place and trying to force me to order different food that I dont eat I will not compromise to doing. No way in hell a sandwich I been ordering for years is now not allowed to be made when all other locations are fine to making it. Read moreExperiencing the service of this specific location, offered a level of seamlessness that I've never witnessed before. Many times I've had an exchange of words when placing an order over voice-automated drive-through speakers, being greeted by the voice-automated prompt after the vehicle triggers the sensor at the menu, then having to wait a few moments after relaying what I'd like to order before a clerk takes over to finalize what was requested.
However, this is not what happened in this instance. From the moment of arriving in front of the drive-through speaker system, compounding additional items and special requests, to navigating away with the first window being the next stop, the automated system needed no assistance, providing no reason for the progress of the order to be handed over to an employee. Even if there may have been an employee on standby in the background, listening to the order being placed & making minor corrections as the order progresses, it was the overall factor of presentation that bestowed me with the thought of, "Hm! That really went well.".
The only downside to the experience, was that the automated system did not prompt the customer on whether I had a code to provide, if I were using the McDonald's app this day, nor if I were there to pick-up an order that I had already placed online or in-app. In fairness, I did not mention to the automated system that I had any of the mentioned factors to present, not wanting to potentially confuse the system and prolonging the ordering process when I could tell the clerk at the window that I would like to append a Rewards code...
Read moreI was transferred here to work after the Crown Point Store closed for remodeling, Sep-Dec 2018. I really HATED working here. First off the managers and employees here hate their jobs and would ALWAYS give me nasty attitude ALL THE TIME! In Oct the Grill Manager made a scene in front of the customers and employees yelling at me because I didn't go to back wall and because I messed up 3 pieces of steak?? I couldn't even do back wall because I was 15, but yet this McDonald's violates Department of Labor Laws. I've seen a 15 year old girl using the fryer and starting before 7 AM, which is ILLEGAL!!! I have also seen RATS running across the kitchen and told the manager about it, but she ignored me. One time these former employees that were fired, came in JUST to buy food, and the General Manager called the cops?? Seriously???? I remember one time I was told to clean lobby and then the GM asked me why I was in the lobby, and when I told her that another girl was on Front Counter she replied "You can go on front counter, or you can LEAVE!" It was the rudest thing anyone has said to me! I called off one Saturday because I was sick and 1 week later I called off because my aunt had a stroke and the GM wouldn't let me work until I talked to her. I instead resigned!
