Long Branch Saloon — Restaurant in Round Rock

I am very disappointed in this establishment. So, I had a long drive to Dallas on business on 7/1/2022. I had always wanted to heck this place out so on my way home i decided to stop to get a drink,. I sat down and ordered my drink. Maybe 10 seconds later a lady/gentleman came and stood by my side or i said hey, the seat next to me is open. Wen i came in i could already tell the bar tender who was a young lady did not look that welcoming. After i ordered the drink and the young lady/gentleman came stood by me, the bar tender said, hey that seat is taken in a very rude tone.

Wow... first of all you as a bar tender have no business in seating arrangements. She said this to me in a rude and obnoxious way... it almost sort to suggest i was not welcome there. So.. i asked ... do i have to excuse myself?

The bar tenser responds ,.... that seat is taken. So i graciously walked out. Now.. i don't have a problem in letting anybody have my seat..but i expect the other party to communicate with me not a waitress. I am a business owner and clearly would not want my employees to get in the middle of such convo. I simply left this establishment Long Branch saloon and went to EScobar.... next door. My oh My... this establishment has it figured out.

Management.... of Long Branch Saloon... you need to train your staff better. This waitress between the hours of 7pm -8pm today 7/1/2022 was awful.

Went there this past Wed (3 July) and the little princess bartender working the main inside bar, completely ignored me. When I attempted to ask her for a drink after she had already served several people that had arrived at the bar after me, she rudely told me to wait. I went to the outside bar and although the bartender was extremely busy, he greeted me with a smile and took my order within 30 seconds. In addition, I don't understand how a place that has been in business for quite some time doesn't recognize that they have one of the worst sound systems around. Other than the Prima Donna barmaid & the horrible sound system, I actually enjoyed the place

Update Re-rated to 4 stars based on my return visit this past Saturday (6 July). The sound system was much improved - guess each performer brings their own equipment - maybe it was just the DJ’s equipment that sucked on my previous visit. I've been here many times. It was an alright place, laid back, homey, generally fun to be at. The live/dj music left a lot to be desired, but that's okay in the long run.

Tonight though, the doorman arbitrarily decided I was too drunk, despite having already admitted me 15 minutes before. This was apparently because I was sweating. In August. In Texas. He called over the bouncer, who laid his hands on me while I was standing in the easement.

Obviously, I'm not coming back, nor are the 7 other people that were with me. Oh, and most of the fire escapes are locked, so pray there's no fire while you're...
