My fiancée and I came in tonight just for desert. It was 10:15 when we arrived. We got in and a woman, later to be identified as Priscilla, said hello. We said hello back and stood there while she finished wiping something for another half a minute or so. She asked if it was for here or Togo while she was still wiping the counter. We reply with “here”, she told us to grab our own menus and have a seat where we would like and someone would be right over. SO we complied and sat down. While looking at the menu I took a look around, there were four or five other tables and what looked to be a host and two servers as well as a dishwasher working. The floors were not well kept and were not touched throughout our 45 min stay. About ten minutes go by and I was so thirsty I had to get up and tell Priscilla that I needed some water pretty quick. She looked at me shocked and said “yea, I’ll get you some”. So I went and sat back down at my table and waited a short time before she arrived with waters. She asked if we were ready and I told her that we were. I ordered a lava cake and my fiancée ordered the salted Caramel banana cream cakes as well as a glass of milk. She said ok thank you and walked away. So she puts in our order and I did not see her disappear to the back, but comes back to our table to inform me that they were out of lava cake. Now this is the only reason why we decided to go to Denny’s. I worked at a Denny’s for ten years in another town and hadn’t had one in about a year. I was craving one, but I later chose the dulce de leche pancakes which are really good. It’s pancake batter sprinkled with brown/cinnamon sugar clump on them while they cook and then flip twice is like Carmel candy. So I order this with a milk as well. About ten minutes go by and my fiancées came out first, his order went in first so that’s understandable. But the waitress informed us they were out of the shortbread cookies that go on top. I looked at them and so did he and the waitress said “man you look really disappointed.. I didn’t charge you for your ice cream or your milk and that’s $3.79 who wants to pay for that? I would not pay for that.” So I asked her if they were out of those cookies why there was some INSIDE the pancakes? She said “oh there was none on my line, maybe they were on the cooks line”. This sounded like she didn’t want to stock her side and didn’t want to go look in the back for them. She got some from the cook so his pancakes were eventually right. I waited another ten minutes and his food was gone by the time I got mine. When mine came out it was very disappointing too. My pancakes were not cooked with the cinnamon sugar mix in them like they’re supposed to be but instead it was just Sprinkled on some pancakes with Carmel drizzle (this is supposed to be served warm in a syrup container, and I only say that because it’s so much better when it’s heated and served the way you’re paying for it) ice cream and whipped cream. She looked at me and said “well how’s that look?”, by this time it’s Been 40 minutes since we got here this is fine just eat and go. I did not get the milk I asked for and she did not come back. She was walking out the door the same time as me so I guess she had to stay late to serve us which I know can be inconvenient. Everyone seemed busy doing nothing. Running around crazy and talking super loud. This was by far the worse Denny’s experience I’ve had. I’ve had my fair share of restaurant experience and enough to know when to fix something or at least seem like you care about knowing the stuff you’re serving is not correct and definitely not $8 worthy for what we just got there. TRY to find somewhere else. This is a waste of...
Read moreI was just walking my dog and an employee saw me smoking a “juul pen” which is literally a Vaporizer and followed me almost to my hotel from the Denny’s to ask me for a cigarette that I clearly did not have. When I took my headphones out and said what. He became infuriated because I did not greet him warmly. He then proceeded to follow me shouting things that I muted out with my headphones. I finally took them out again and told him that it was not my “job to talk him”. He continued to follow me and rant and rave. Since checking in here I have been followed around by guys asking me for my phone number, to “hang out” amongst other annoying and near disgusting things and each time these people become angry when I refuse to speak to them. I’m sorry but this needs to stop and you need to either get that psychotic server of yours a therapist or hire a new one because that completely destroyed my walk with my dog and due to feeling uncomfortable I had to go straight back to my hotel room.
Downright disgusted. Funny thing is I was going to eat here tonight. Will order food instead. Definitely not going into a place with an angry server following me around a parking lot asking me to magically produce him a cigarette from my juul pen.
I really do not get what the hell is happening in Sacramento but never in my life have I been to a place where this many people follow me around and disrupt my life to the point where I cannot even walk outside.
Please review the camera facing your parking lot between 8:00pm & 8:20. You will see your employee walking outside and then following me towards the hotel while screaming at me because I said “what” in a tone he...
Read moreWitnessed several altercations involving the thug "security" guard and various paying customers who were accosted by him. Apparently, once you enter the restaurant, you aren't allowed to leave again until you have cleaned your plate, tipped your waitress sufficiently and asked permission to to be excused from the table. One customer left to grab his wallet out of the car to pay his check. Big mistake. Even though he'd left his girlfriend at the table, the security guard all but jumped him, shouting he wasn't allowed outside for any reason then screamed at him he wasn't allowed back inside because he "didn't obey a direct order". Another customer placed a "to go" order, paid for it, then went outside to wait in his car until it was ready but when he went to pick it up the waitress told him he already picked it up and was trying to scam them out of a free meal. Once again, security "thug" jumped in to save the day and was so worked up he was foaming at the mouth like a rabid dog. Turns out the customer IS ALWAYS right because the waitress gave this man's food to the wrong people and refused to admit her mistake. Hey, Denny's management! Time to clean house. Review your security footage in the morning and see what's going on in your restaurant when you aren't there. The footage should be on "MOST SHOCKING blankety blank CAUGHT ON TAPE!!" or whatever that...
