Always enjoyed coming to Fizz and bringing my friends and family. But unfortunately I had an unpleasant experience with their staff member Diana. Due to this experience I spoke with the owner Raymond who was very pleasant and understanding with the lack of communication with Diana their server.
On April 2nd I went to pick up my monthly bottle and because I had not picked up my March I got the two champagne bottles (March and April)
My guest and I enjoyed the tasting and then opted to open a bottle. We met some amazing 1st time patrons of Fizz who were from out of town on a date night. I thought it would be nice gesture to gift them my second bottle and pay the cork fee for them.
Myself and my guest finished our bottle. I spoke to Diana our waitress and told her we wanted to revisit a glass from the tasting.
She brought over two glasses of champagne. Didn’t say anything about the champagne or what we were drinking. Again, thinking we are just revisiting one we’ve already tasted.
So she brings us the bill; 210$$$ for 3-GLASSES of champagne
Why would we spend even 70$ on a GLASS of champagne after we just GIFTED a whole bottle to someone else. We could have just purchased another bottle for the price of ONE GLASS! Or kept our bottle and paid the 25$ cork fee and enjoy a WHOLE bottle.
There was no description of what the champagne was. She never came and showed us the bottle she never stated it was 70$ a glass.
They go over the description of ALL the champagnes we taste; very descriptive. When she brought this 70$ glass we didn’t know what we were drinking. She just dropped off the glasses. Again, because we thought we were drinking one of the champagnes we had just tasted.
It was disappointing to end the evening that way.
Raymond gifted me another bottle for our troubles. Retail value on that is 50-60$ in store maybe 100$ at Fizz, which only proves my point more. We could have just purchased another bottle. But we didn’t know we were spending 70$ on a GLASS of champagne.
Overall, if you go here be cognizant on what they recommend and the cost of their...
Read moreI received an email stating that since I was a member I would receive 40% off of a bottle of my choosing and a free glass. Note, the email stated I was a " member " and I assumed it was because I have purchased tickets to events and received emails. When I went to redeem I showed my email to the server and after selecting a bottle and eating I was then told that i was not a member and they were not sure why I received that email. I was charged full price for the bottle and the glass at the managers discretion . I paid for my bottle full priced since i did want it, but would have expected some accommodation since the mistake was on their part.A bit disappointed since I i have came to events as mentioned and it was my birthday. I will likely not be back due to the service the manager was unwilling to provide to accommodate a small discount for the sake of the guest experience. I know losing1 customer is a drop in the bucket but I could have a nice glass of champagne anywhere and what I truly pay for is the...
Read moreI visit Sacramento every few months and was super excited to discover this bar devoted to all things bubbly. Service was prompt and friendly. The wines were nice. There was also some selection for non-bubbly drinkers which includes beer and non-bubbly wine. The decor is modern and clean. I think just a couple of small changes would have made the experience almost perfect. For example, the lighting was more consistent with a food court as opposed to an intimate bar. Dimming the lights and adding some mood lighting would greatly improve the experience. There was also a bit of draft which exentuated the "cold" atmosphere. I think making these small changes would warm the atmosphere of the bar, make it more charming and encourage my return...
