Avoid This Place – Terrible Service & Management!
I can’t believe how bad my experience was at the DOCO Häagen-Dazs, and I feel compelled to warn everyone to steer clear of this place. I’ve been to plenty of ice cream shops, but this one takes the cake in terms of awful service and poor management.
Let’s start with the general manager, Ed Delpassand. This guy is a disaster. Not only does he treat his employees like they’re beneath him, but he’s also incredibly rude to customers. It’s clear that he has no business running a store if he can’t even treat people with basic respect. I watched him belittle staff members in front of customers – it was honestly painful to witness. How can you expect your team to do their best when they’re constantly being put down?
And then there’s the lack of staff. The place is so understaffed, it’s ridiculous. I had to wait forever to even be acknowledged, and when I finally got my order, it was wrong. The poor young employees are clearly overworked and overwhelmed, which is probably why they’re so disinterested and unfriendly. One of the employees, Jessica, was especially rude, acting like it was a huge inconvenience for me to ask for a simple change to my order.
The whole vibe of this location is just off – no one seems happy to be there, and it's clear that the management, starting with Ed, has a lot to do with that. The whole experience was incredibly disappointing, and I won’t be coming back. If you want good ice cream and decent service, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This...
Read moreReceived a wonderful greeting upon entering and waited about 5 mins, as there were others being served. Another family walk in and stand in front of us (right side we were in the middle, as the persons who were before us were now at the register paying) then another couple on the left side enter (or appeared to enter after us. When the worker "Anna" walked near the couple to the left us and asked are they ready, we became confused as we were standing in line first (or we thought). We explained that we were there first and she explained she was helping them before we arrived. Problem 1: there is no clear line structure upon entering the establishment. Anyone who walks in can stand where they want (right, left, middle in front of ice cream counter) making it confusing as to who was there first. Problem 2: it would've been more professional if Anna would've said something like "welcome in, I'll be with you shortly as I am assisting this couple". Instead she began attempting to argue that the couple was there before us instead of validating concerns of confusion as to the line structure and order of who...
Read moreLet's set the scene, Myself and my hubby on a Sunday afternoon 9/7/2025. The place was empty and on a whim I decided on a scoop. When we walked in we were met with "Hi, welcome in" by a young lady who appeared to be cleaning tables. Lovelay start however the two young ladies behind the counter were huddled together in conversation and my hubby heard on of them say "they're just going to ask for samples". Upon him making me aware we left immediately. What do you suppose made her say that? Intrusive thoughts are best left unspoken because when you let them out you lose business. I will never return. I will never spend a dime in this establishment ever again. If you are of a certain hue I suggest that you spend your hard earned...
