Frends Brewhouse — Restaurant in Sacramento

I am a midtown local and it's one of the few restaurants that deliver. I wish I could recommend this higher, and I DO think there pizza is great - so if its pizza you want, that's a sure winner....But with the other dishes I have ordered are either thumbs done or very uneven - for an example, I love their mushroom jack cheeseburgers and fries..But you never know if it's going to be overcooked or undercooked when you order it "medium well". And you sometimes get a lot of yummy mushrooms, and other times a loser few! It's really uneven; they must have a variety of good to poor chefs...It's a shame, bc it's a great location..Once I decided to go and treat myself to a good steak. It was lunch time, and the service was really poor. It took forever to get any service, then I waited soooo long to get my food (thank goodness this wasn't a business lunch!) and I waited even longer to get the meal. Not only was it lukewarm to cool, it was so overdone it was shameful. I called the manager over. I could not eat it. He totally agreed and offered to do it right for me, cook another at medium rare as ordered. I had been there so long by then, I just wanted to go, the whole experience was just so drawn out and unpleasant. I cut my losses and just left. So there u have it. If you go, I hope it's a lucky day and you get a good chef and server, because...

This used to be my favorite pizza spot I’ve spent over $100s of dollars here. I went in on Saturday February 1st. The lady who served us claimed to be the manager but I know the store owner the boss man the guy was not there, he usually is always there but the lady who served us, service was absolutely terrible. We were OVERCHARGED , she tried to charge us a mandatory tip for a (party of 6) mind you there was 3 adults 2 kids and a toddler. Makes no sense, We got our pizza and it was EXTREMELY undercooked. I always looked forward to the pizza there and the crust is my favorite . The dough was still white. The cheese was falling off the pizza after it cooled and it made my little sisters stomach upset after us leaving. We had to get the bill figured out and after all of these abnormal charges we were finally able to get it figured out but now, I won’t be returning there, you guys lost...

We drove up to Sac last minute to watch the basketball game and needed to find a place to eat before the game. We first went to the Japanese restaurant next door and the wait was ridiculous so we decided to come into Pete’s and everything about it was delightful. The staff were very attentive and warm and we were able to order quickly. We had the pretzel bun beef sliders, the garlic fries, and a Caesar salad with chicken. Very pleasantly surprised! Everything was delicious. I usually find that grilled chicken on a salad can be dry but their chicken was moist and very tasty. The pretzel bun on the little cheeseburger really elevated it and was a very nice touch to the slider. Loved the garlic fries. Would recommend...
