First time to leave a review but felt the outstanding service should be recognized. We ate at the St Roberts location Easter Sunday. All the employees were extremely nice and served with a smile. The lady who ran us up asked to make sure everything that came on the burger was ok with us which was nice to have since we dont eat there to often and didnt know what it comes with. I didnt have to ask she just made sure. The guy making the ice cream helped bring the ice cream to our table because my hands were full. The manager not only was right there working with the employees but also went to every table in the restaurant and made sure we were doing OK and asked if we needed anything. I went up to the counter to get something and the ice cream guy acknowledged me immediately even though he was busy and let me know he would be with me as soon as he finish that cone. HUGE bonus points in my book. I don't expect someone to stop doing their job just to help me but I do expect them to let me know they will help me shortly. He exceeded my expectations and actually helped me right away since i just needed something simple. When we where gathering our trash to leave a different worker came over and offered to take our trash for us instead of having us doing it. Never would expect her to do that but very kind of her to see a customer and come over and offer to help. Just another extra thing they did to make great service!! I never once had to get anyone's attention because someone there was always ready to help. That's a big deal to me. Many times workers at other establishment are having side convos or aren't anywhere to be found. We were greeted on the way in and greeted on the way...
Read moreThe food was absolutely GREAT! However, I was really disappointed that every single table was dirty. The booth beside mine had dried catsup all over the seat. Every counter top for customer self-service seemed like it was covered with dried up soda spills everywhere. The floor needed to be mopped in a bad sort of way.
We asked for someone to co.e wipe our table down for us. The young man then started wiping down tables on the other side of the restaurant. He did come wipe our table when we asked him when we asked him again.
I was very surprised to see the restaurant looking like such a train wreck, since I've eaten there on many other occasions and I've NEVER seen it look like it did that night.
We were there at 8pm on a Sunday night. There were only 2 other tables that came in during the time while we were there. The drive thru didn't seem that busy. The door sign showed they were open until 10pm. No attempt to clean the dining room was made, other than wiping the tables down, per my request.
On the plus side, the young man at the register was as polite as always. He even held the door open when we left.
The food was also great as always. We weren't felt rushed, even though we were there late on a Sunday evening.
Will I be back? Probably. Unless I continue to see the restaurant in this poor condition. Thankfully, there's a first time for everything and this was a first time for this experience. Hopefully, it will also be the last.
I'm including pics of food from...
Read moreOur recent visit to Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, through the drive-thru, was a mixed experience with some fantastic food and very poor service, leading to an overall rating of 3.6/5.
Service: 1/5 Unfortunately, our interaction with the young man at the drive-thru was quite rude and unhelpful. When we asked a question about our order, he told us to just drive to the window and had already added the item we were questioning. After re-asking the question, which required an explanation, he simply rolled his eyes and nodded. We had to ask a third time before he finally gave a proper answer, which was a frustrating and disappointing experience.
Food While the service was lacking, the food was a different story. The onion rings were fantastic (5/5), perfectly golden brown and crispy on the outside with a juicy, sweet onion on the inside.
The cheese curds (2/5) were a bit of a letdown, as they were greasy and over-salted, though they did have the satisfying curd squeak we were hoping for.
The Freddy's Original Double (4/5) was a classic, solid burger—exactly what you'd expect and very enjoyable.
The real highlight was the Patty Melt (4.5/5). The bread was crispy, the onions were nicely caramelized, and the sandwich was huge and delicious.
While the service was poor, the quality of the food made up for it in most cases. With a few tweaks to the cheese curds and a focus on better customer service, this could easily be a...
