We used to frequently go to Fiddler's Elbow after many of our hikes, as well as for events such as dinner nights and we had a great experience with Fiddler's Elbow for years, but after they hired a new manager named Jake and another new employee named Brandon we started having problems. Jake was repeatedly giving me a very hard time about bringing in large groups, sometimes he would confront me and say we need a reservation for a group our size (though when I'd try calling to make a reservation I'd be told that they don't take reservations), sometimes he would call me over and be upset that we ended up having less people show up than we originally said we expected when we showed up (even though the restaurant was nearly empty and it wasn't creating a negitive impact). The final incident occurred when we came in and one of the individuals with us had a North Carolina drivers license that they "couldn't" scan, they were very rude about it and wouldn't let her in. The next morning as was at Fiddler's Elbow for brunch with a couple friends and as we were leaving Brandon blocked my path an threatened to start giving every ID in our group far more scrutiny.
I understand it can be hard for restaurants to deal with large groups, especially like ours where we often do not know how many will be showing up and where we often have 20 to 30 people with us, but there are other restaurants that are very happy to have you and treat us well. Fiddler's Elbow made it difficult to do business and I really disliked the way I was treated, there is no excuse for it.
I tried to reach out and talk to the owner many many times but I was not able to, I wanted to try to resolve the issue as there are limited locations that can sit a large group quickly.
I posted a similar review on my Facebook page and Fiddler's Elbow responded by posting a comment recommending Lucky 13! Lucky 13 is a great place where I have always had great food...

Once again, the service was super friendly, the place was bright and spotless, and it just felt like a great spot to relax and enjoy a midday bite. Happy we made it back for lunch!
First Visit: So glad to see Fiddlers back in action! This local spot has reopened, and it’s already feeling like a go-to neighborhood hangout again. Think sports bar meets pub—with tons of TV screens, a dartboard area, shuffleboard, and a refreshed bar setup that feels open, clean, and welcoming. They’ve also got an outdoor area, which is a nice touch.
We’ve been a couple of times now. The French onion soup and Caesar salad are both solid staples—really flavorful and satisfying. This time, we stopped by for a casual dinner and decided to branch out a bit with the drinks. I tried the Citrus Paloma—it had a bold kick from the Cointreau that was a bit overpowering for my taste, but I appreciate the creativity and effort to offer something different. My other half went with a Bloody Mary—classic, and it hit the spot.
For food, we had the Mediterranean salad with chicken, which was fresh, well-seasoned, and hearty. A great pick. I ordered the salmon BLT special—it’s definitely a pesto-lover’s dream, which I usually am, but that night I probably should’ve stuck with the comfort pub classics. Totally my call.
Next time, I’ll be back for that French onion soup, and probably the nachos or something off the regular menu. It’s the kind of place where you want to post up for a game, grab a late dinner, and chill. The staff is genuinely nice, the crowd feels local, and I love that they stay open later than most places in Utah—a much-needed option for night owls.
Here’s hoping Fiddlers keeps thriving. It’s got all the right energy to become a...
Read moreWe went in on the Friday after Thanksgiving. It was crowded and the World Cup was playing so it was noisy. We waited for 20 minutes until a server approached our table. My Dad ordered a scotch and soda, and the server left the table before asking the three others of us what we wanted to drink. 15 minutes later the server came back with a vodka soda. My Dad drank it since we didn’t have a lot of confidence the scotch and soda replacement would arrive in 5 minutes or less. I still wasn’t able to place my order for a glass of wine. About 20 minutes later a manager approached our table to take our food order. She noted the similar ages between my aunt and her grandmother and started showing us a video of her grandmother on her phone. After waiting so long to get our food order in, we would’ve appreciated a little more hustle and a little less small talk from the manager. My aunt ordered the special Teriyaki Salmon. 20 minutes later the server arrived with the smash burger for my aunt. The server admitted that she thought my aunt had ordered the burger. Might be a good idea to repeat the order before leaving the table especially when there’s a game on the TV and there’s so much cheering. I went to the front desk to relay my concerns, and the guy at the door said he wasn’t the one to complain to since he’s just responsible for the door. My aunt’s salmon came after paying the bill. We put it in a carry out container provided. Another manager came out to apologize that they weren’t at there best that Friday because two staff members had called in sick and two other servers were brand new. No itemized check came to the table. No offer was made to...
