Ok place to rent. My daughter is using them for the trade up program. Everything was going great for us until i decided to buy a brand new Solomon QSTs and binding from them. The skis were sparingly used 4-5 times last season and they didn’t pass safety check. I took them back to the shop asking them to check the skis and bindings and the general apathy from Jake ( who not only lied that he was the manager) apart from his unwillingness to remedy a binding under warranty was really disappointing. He not only wanted me to pay for re running the test inspite of having a test report paper from Alta ski shop, he also was like I can’t guarantee a remedy after the test. It felt like a rip off for 25$ test after paying 800$ for skis. I don’t know who the owners are but they need to train their employees better and at least make sure they don’t lie about being managers. If indeed Jake is the manager, teach him customer service.
He accused me of trying to score a free binding when I asked him what the warranty was. I left the shop dissatisfied and disappointed vowing to never do business and went to sports den instead.
If you are an out of towner, go rent and return. Don’t buy any equipment from here. Save youe money and opt for REI or sports den for...
Read moreTerrible experience. Owner is extremely rude, passive aggressive, and overall condescending. Even the store on the way to Brighton/solitude spoke to us in a manner like "how dare you breathe the same air as me". Owner even tried to rip us off out of over $100 in tax after we returned items and we had to argue to get it refunded as he blatantly lied to us claiming he pays taxes even on returned items not sales. We only came here per Delta airlines recommendation after they lost our bags and will never come here again. They refused to return our unused or defective items which was ultimately the most frustrating part. Completely disgusting for a small, local business. Other patrons expressed their concerns over the interaction as well, as further validation of the terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Every item is over inflated anyways (we found gloves they were selling for $270 on Amazon for $150 and we asked if they price match and he rudely laughed at us and said shop on Amazon). Read moreI dig the young guys who fit customers for skis. They are kind and respectful. The somewhat older dude who works the cash register--presumably the manager—however? He is truculent and lacks a sense for customer service. Moreover, he stands proudly in violation of State and Federal ADA legislation. Last weekend, he kicked a service dog out in a wildly ill-mannered way while blaming his decision on the dissatisfaction of his customers. I looked around. All of his customers, including myself, were masked. He was not. His customers cared nothing about the service dog. They did wish he showed as much respect for them as they were doing for him... by masking up, however. Seriously, the fellow requires training. Or better yet: Instruction on how to mask his mid-life disgruntlement. He's an awful brand ambassador for Utah Ski & Golf. I hope he owns the place. Otherwise, his lack of professionalism will cost someone else $$$ in the future. I’m local (like I live in the city neighborhood, local) and...
