edit to respond to the owners comments. I never said my service dog was an emotional support dog. I have been a handler for a long time, i know the difference and would nerver confuse the two. You were extremely unclear on the actual laws so it would make sense that you might've confused the two, seeing as you asked me for my registration. Im sorry YOU misunderstood. Im sorry you couldn't be bothered to listen when i tried to show you the law. Im not sorry that i embarrassed you by knowing my rights.
Iwalked in with my Service Dog and am immediately told she cant be there, i tell them she is my SD. I then get asked for a registration card, so i explained that there is no legal registration in the US but asked if he would like to see the ada laws. He says no and explains that they got in trouble because someone brought a dog in, someone else took a picture and reported them to the health department and the health department told him there was a new law that requires registration. I told him that was incorrect as i was looking at the ada.gov website and offered to show him again, he says no but says we can stay. We ordered coffee and sat down. Though we were told we could stay the employees were distant, cold, and wouldn't look at us the whole time we were there, i felt EXTREMELY unwelcome. I could later hear him reading the ada law on service dogs to another employee, it saying exactly what i said perhaps he was feeling embarrassed and thats why he was so cold to me, im not sure. The coffe was pretty good, though it would have been nice if our cups were more than half full. The music was really loud, not sure if thats normal or they were just trying to get us to leave. I highly suggest brushing up on these laws, as a business its your...
Read moreCoffee served from a retro-classy, swivel-stool bar in the back of a vinyl record shop. This is a perfect place to have coffee and browse records. According to a chalk sign, they have live jazz music on Thursday nights. The shop interior is small, and I'm not sure where they have space for a band, but it sounds amazing. When I was there, they played classic recordings and I felt transported in time.
For those who like to remember history, this was an Italian restaurant, Cannella's, for 42 years until it went under in 2020. Prior to Cannella's, it was the original home of Junior's Tavern. I am definitely not old enough to remember that, but I think it's neat to see how they've kept the bar and repurposed it to serve coffee.
Sound Brew isn't wildly busy on a weekday morning, but they have a steady clientele, most of whom are regulars on a first-name basis with the baristas. There is something heartwarming about people greeting each other by name. Personally, I strive to remain an anonymous stranger, but how lovely for those with normal attachment styles.
I will be backâhopefully, soonâto crowd in and listen to...
Read moreI have been to the record store in this location a few times in the past and I told my boyfriend a couple months ago that we should try the small coffee shop there. Well it was super disappointing from the way we were treated by the barista (it was a male barista) to the way our drinks tasted. The guy serving us was super rude when asked what the matcha and chai are served like if itâs concentrate, if itâs powder, what type of milk, he treated us as if we were toddlers and just kept repeating âi donât know what youâre asking itâs a drinkâ needles to say we paid $9 for a super sweet drink that tasted nothing like matcha and just flavored milk; I thought I should leave this picture on here somebody made a review video about the coffee shop and here are some of the same complaints for the same male barista. This place has a cool concept but unfortunately ran by not so...
