Very "Basic" as the Millennials say. I am a person who has personal pride in what I do, where I live, & work...So, it's hard for me to understand when 20-somethings feel "oppressed" to be asked to "do their job" in a polite & reasonable way. First, they gave me some lame excuse as to why the order was placed wrong, essentially passing the buck, & complaining about someone else. Service wasnt :Starbucks exceptional,"my beverage wasn't very hot, & when I asked for "Sugar in the Raw," I was questioned to look all around for where it was to be as if I, a busy man decades older was in the wrong. So, spinning a lame situation to power play me that I must be mistaken and in the wrong makes for a very disturbing experience. After the Sweet interrogation, I was handed 2 packs, not 3 I'd asked for...."Ok, you win the domination contest!" Next, the one gal who took charge came flying over and imposed her will to move me to put her duty before I could get my sugar into my drink by a "let me get in there real quick..." I had to actually call her off explaining that I was preparing my drink. Not a positive, selfless, customer service based staff. The cashier didn't know how to do a refund for my banana bread ,but sure could take my money quick enough.( It reminded me of a good McDonald's experience in the 90s...) Once, I was ready to sit down I asked for a rag to clean off the table & the gal hit the one table & left the 3 other options messy with coffee all over. I sat in the furthest corner to get peace since the 4 member staff ranted about their 1st dates, disillusioned young men they attracted, & judged all there times on 1st dates. The gossip was deafening. When the chatter settled and my paperwork was handled, it was time for me to sit in a comfy chair in which there was coffee and trash all over the side table. I asked again for a rag to get it myself & was questioned twice as to "where?"...LOL I had to ignore the ignorance. The young lead actually took initiative and "did her job" but not without looking over to roll her eyes at me. No smiles, no thank yous, no gratitude, just attitude, subtle aggression, arrogance, & impressive entitlement. Sadly, these qualities of positivity & negatively are so contagious. I mean, to spend $14. w/o even a greeting...Howard Schultz would be greatly disappointed. Hopefully a DM will read this and do some "Coaching" and retraining. And, I had to write this for :20 mins of my life I'll never get back. And, why are there no customers at the table or even the usual line....hmmm, one wonders? Place is a joke!!! Steer clear. And, the Wi-Fi was shotty at best...this was like if Starbucks had a Amateur League or Triple AAA...
Read moreThe staff are friendly, but the drinks are inconsistent and I don't feel safe going into this location. Last week, I ordered mobile, and it wasn't ready when I arrived, so I sat down near the doors to wait. There was another man in the corner, but I paid him no mind. He also had a large storebought container of Folgers? He started banging on his chair and swearing, which drew my attention. I thought maybe it broke, but he was staring at me and continued banging on the chair. I looked away, visibly uncomfortable, and debated about getting up and waiting near the counter. He then started muttering and swearing at me under his breath, and shoved the chair that seperated us at me.
I immediately got up and went to the counter. I wanted to notify an employee, but they were so into the well oiled machine of pumping out drinks I couldn't get their attention. I also didn't want to speak up, because I felt that if I even looked in that guys direction again, he'd come at me. So I got my drink, and decided to call once I left. I called three times. The first two rang to a busy tone, the third connected, and immediately disconnected.
I decided to try again this morning, and he was once again near the doors, just standing and staring out. I don't feel safe in this location. I also order the same thing every time, and it comes to me a different drink every time. Toppings are added that shouldn't be there, custom toppings I paid extra for are out, and there's no resolution. Cold foam is too thin and immediatly mixes in the drink, there's barely any of it, there's a third of a cup of it.
They get an extra star for friendly staff, but otherwise, I'm personally avoiding this location. They need better routes for feedback, and they should be aware if their customers...
Read moreI don’t love leaving less than 5 star reviews, but honestly I am really disappointed in this location. Many times now I have ordered a coffee on the app and picked up in store on my way to class/work and my order has been incorrect. They consistently leave out the syrup that is supposed to be in the drink (I.e. not caramel brûlée syrup in my caramel brûlée latte). I think this is likely just because they are busy and trying to push drinks out quickly, but it has become a consistent occurrence that I have about a 50/50 chance my drink will be wrong if I order through the app. I haven’t had time to ask them to correct it on those days, but I am hoping that they can start to pay a little more attention when making the drinks as I have noticed more than one person has had a similar issue. I know some people are in a rush and don’t want to wait, but I would rather wait a few extra minutes than have my drink be incorrect but fast. Overall the workers there are very friendly and I love the space, I just wish my drinks would be...
