Unfortunately, service has gone down at this location, and while we are halfway between the two north location, we will be making our way over to the I-10 location from now on.
We paid for a donut cake (not exactly cheap), and the guy who took my order didn't even use an order form, so he ripped out some receipt tape and scribbled it down. I was skeptical and called the morning of the evening I needed to pick it up. I was assured it would be ready and they confirmed my order.
However, when my husband and I showed up to pick it up that night, it wasn't ready. Moreover, they claimed they didn't make the kind I ordered. I asked why I wasn't told that earlier. They said instead of a 5 dozen they would need to charge me for two 3 dozen (which is more expensive). The other solution they told me was just do either 3 doz or 9 doz. Someone can't do math, because that is way less and more than what I needed.
While this is unfolding, the girl helping us was huffing around and acting like we were putting her out. No manager came over (she had to go to the back to "ask" multiple times to make this special arrangement for us). None of the employees were apologetic. When she was done making the tower, she handed me a tray of donuts. I asked what that was for, and she said it was my order. No cellophane, wrap, or packaging on the outside. Um, no, that won't work for transporting.
Needless to say, we will not be giving them our business in future, and suggest you go to a different...
Read moreBeen a long time Krispy Kreme fan. My wife and I decided to get a donut after dinner and were delighted when we saw the sign lit up, indicating that hot donuts are coming off the conveyor and that a hot, free glazed donut was in my future. I parked the car and walked to the door. The lobby was closed, so thought we’d try the drive through. After waiting for about 5 cars, we ordered a lemon filled and a creme filled, only when we got to the window, they mentioned they were out of creme filled. I asked if we could each have a free one off the the conveyor, and the worker said, we don’t give out free ones when the lobby is closed. So they turn on the light to attract customers who unknowingly will have their hopes dashed. Strike 2. Krispy Kreme used to be a special place, and the workers were always looking for ways to bless…the joy the workers showed when handing out free donuts to our kids was contagious. Now it’s just a long drive through line, ok donuts and no apologies or compassion when they run out of what you want. Average deserves a 3.
Update on 4/29/22…tonight they did give out free ones to the drive through, but the lobby was still closed, and they were out of all filled donuts…no creme filled, no lemon filled, no strawberry filled or custard filled. I guess they should rename this place just Krispy, because they have nothing with Kreme. You are a donut shop…please...
Read moreDrive through experience was meh. At 8am on a Saturday morning (prime donut consuming time) there was something like 4 donut varieties available. Literally everything we asked for was unavailable, and so were our second choices. Ordering felt like I was playing battleship, until finally we were told what they did have.
THEN we pull around the corner to approach the window and there is only one person in front of us. No big deal, right? Wrong. Turns out this person was buying coffee for some big meeting or sports event or something, so we had to sit there for something like 10-15 minutes while they (I assume due to the time it took) brewed 3 or 4 jugs of coffee for this person. Most drive through spots these days will have you pull ahead, park, and bring you out whatever if, you know, your order is gonna take a quarter of an hour and the guy behind you is just waiting on 5 donuts. Not Krispy Kreme policy apparently. If I had a way out, I would have left..
The final frustration once the coffee person had finally moved on was the bees!!! I wish I was making this up, but there were a bunch of bees buzzing around the drive through window, it was pretty distressing when I had to roll down my window to make the transaction. Huge amount of respect for the workers there having to put up with that. Hopefully none of them have...
