We were return patients and a family of 6 (only four of us went to this particular appointment) that was made OVER a month in advance. We booked an early morning Sat appointment, the first of the day, and even got there early, since we were sent a text after 5pm on Friday that something was wrong with our insurance. So early in fact, that we sat outside for about 10m with the doctor waiting for the office to open. The person with the keys was not only late, but incredibly nonchalant and in no rush, trying to balance her food, purse, on the phone, all while trying to unlock the door, which in my opinion was very unprofessional. Being in the med field myself, I told my family to give them a minute to get settled and then we will go in to check in, still trying to give this lady the benefit of the doubt since we LOVE Dr. Mancha! Anyways, we go in to check in and we are told our insurance wasn’t showing as active, OK, easy fix, here is the new insurance….she takes it and verifies it and we are not in network….OK cool, that sucks for us! But here is my issue….I made this appointment OVER a month ago and no one thought to verify the benefits before the Friday before the appointment? I tried to call and speak with the office managers and a person named Jennifer told me there was no office manager. I asked why did someone wait until FRIDAY evening to text us that we were showing as inactive, to which Jennifer replied, we close at 4pm on Fridays…… WELL ma’am, I have a time stamped text that says otherwise! If we had known sooner, we could have cancelled the appointment or made provisions to pay the out of network fees and avoided this whole mess It really sucks too because the doctors, who are AMAZING are the ones that will have to deal with this unorganized mess. In my opinion maybe an office manger is needed, perhaps one that has the doctors business and name in their best interest and can hold the admin to a higher standard of patient and...
Read moreHello Dr. Buck , I was a new patient and was seen by Dr. Johnson . She was very kind and very attentive to me as a patient . Though my initial experience with the receptionist was not good. Her name was Rose . My appointment was schedule for 3pm I arrived 15 minutes early thinking as in most customs you would need to fill out paperwork. I saw the receptionist up front but to my surprise the door was locked . When I saw the sign it said “We will be back at 2pm” it was 2:45pm and the receptionist didn’t open . So I waited a bit longer ....it was now 2:55pm . I try seeing if the door was open and nothing . Receptionist didn’t even budge to ask even how she could help me . So I knocked on the glass door . When she finally came to the door she asked what she could help me with . I mentioned I had a 3pm appointment and I was a new patient . She then stated the doctor was not in yet from Lunch. Then I stated “ you should move the time on your sign to 3pm “ ... then I indicated “your website states lunch is from 1-2pm ?!. To my surprise Rose responded rudely and said “ Our lunches vary and she locked the door on me “ I was in shock !! She literally still locked the door on me though my appointment was soon . Now I could understand , if you keep it locked for safety purposes.... but at least be up front about it . I was just hoping to seek shelter indoor from the cold and fill out my paperwork. I would say that is the reason you have chairs up front right ?!? For it to be a “waiting room “ Honestly , my experience with Dr. Johnson was great !! Rose was rude and should not treat patients unkind . Another shock is after reading reviews here .... looks like I wasn’t the only one who has had complaints about Rose and the fact that she is still responding that way shows to me the issue has NOT been resolved . So sorry Dr. Buck .... not...
Read moreI love both of the doctors here, but find working and communicating with their staff difficult. I started trying to book an appointment two weeks ago, I left multiple voicemails asking to recieve a call back, and I did not recieve a return call. If I did, they did not leave a voicemail. So I tried reaching out through email, Rose responded to me on Wednesday, and after some back and forth, offered the time 9:30 on Monday morning. I accepted, however, after sending my information twice on the same email thread and getting my time off approved with my boss, I was informed that time was no longer available. So I asked that the staff call me so we could just get a time in place, I never received a call or response email. I stopped in this morning to try a walk in appointment, but they did not have any time. I understand that there are only two doctors, but I wish walk in appointments would not have been advertised online if they really only have appointments. I have been coming to this office for years, but because of the difficulty I have even getting someone to pick up the phone to schedule, I do not know if I will return. If there is not enough staff to answer the phones, then there need to be more people and...
