Following up on my wife's review from last week. We decided to go there because we've been before and enjoyed our time. Upon reviewing the menu, we saw how high the calories were on most of the items. Ok, that can be expected to some degree so no big deal. However, my wife wasn't super hungry and is trying to be mindful of her health, so we inquired if she could just order off of the kids menu. We were told, "no", and the manager flat out told us they want adults to order the more expensive adult portions. A little disappointing that they didn't allow it but again, if that's their policy, we'll deal with it. So, with that my wife just ordered a side salad and I got the jambalaya. My meal came shortly thereafter but no salad was brought to my wife. Waited a bit for the salad and my wife decided to just cancel the salad and just have a few bites of my meal. She went off to the bathroom and while she was there the waitress came and asked me how everything was. I let her know, in a very calm manner, that we were a little disappointed that her salad didn't come in a timely manner. She told me it was because my wife cancelled her order but i explained that was a result of her waiting quite some time after my meal was delivered. She said she would get the manager for me and I said, that wasn't necessary. She started walking away but I also needed my drink refilled and to try to get her attention, I said " excuse me". She kept going and again in a bit louder volume "excuse me". She was clearly ignoring me so I had to repeat myself a third time with "excuse me" and obviously again a bit louder. She turned in a huff at me and came back, clearly irritated with me. I asked for a refill, and she walked off shaking her head. I wish everyone could have witnessed this as I am one of the most patient and understanding person there is and was quite calm with her ridiculous attitude. Shortly after the manager comes up and tells me she was going to take care of our bill and asked me to leave because I was "yelling" at her waitress and this waitress was uncomfortable. I was appalled, as the manager didn't witness anything and the waitress should have been talked to by the manager. This manager should have also apologized for the terrible attitude and service but nope. I won't ever step foot in here again. I've never been asked to leave anyplace before and typically have respect for servers and fast food workers because I see the true jerks they have to deal with on a daily basis. Oh, I should also mention their bathrooms were flooding and other patrons were complaining. Maybe they were having a bad evening because of that but don't take...

We stopped by Margaritaville San Antonio one evening while visiting the River Walk, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences of our trip. The atmosphere was exactly what you’d hope for — laid-back, fun, and full of great energy, but not overwhelming. We went later in the evening and had no wait at all, which was a nice surprise considering how busy the area usually gets. The staff greeted us right away with smiles and seated us quickly.

The whole place has that classic Margaritaville vibe — colorful décor, great music, and a relaxed, tropical feel that instantly puts you in vacation mode. The lighting and riverfront views at night added an extra touch of magic to the experience. You can hear the sound of the water flowing by while live music plays in the background — it’s the perfect combo for winding down after a long day of sightseeing.

The food was excellent. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The portions were generous and definitely worth the price. We tried a couple of their signature entrées and appetizers, and everything hit the spot. The flavors were bold but balanced, and you could tell the kitchen puts care into the details. The drinks were equally great — classic Margaritaville cocktails that were mixed perfectly and served quickly. Whether you go for a margarita, a frozen drink, or something non-alcoholic, there’s something for everyone.

Our server was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and clearly enjoyed their job. They checked in just the right amount, made great recommendations, and kept everything running smoothly without making us feel rushed. That’s something we really appreciated, especially since it was later in the evening and the staff could have easily been winding down for the night.

The atmosphere was upbeat but still comfortable — lots of laughter, good music, and people just enjoying themselves. It’s a great place for couples, families, or groups of friends to relax and have fun. The River Walk location makes it even better — you can walk off dinner with a stroll along the water afterward, which is exactly what we did.

Overall, Margaritaville San Antonio was a highlight of our evening. Great service, delicious food, refreshing drinks, and zero wait time — it doesn’t get much better than that. Whether you’re a local or visiting like we were, it’s definitely worth stopping by. The combination of atmosphere, flavor, and fun makes it a perfect spot to kick back and soak in those...

If I could rate a “0” I would. Where do I even start. We got a table fairly quickly as we came in at 1140am on a Monday. It took almost 10 minutes before they took our order and then almost another 10 minutes to get our waters. They were out of like 5 different dishes even before the lunch rush, one of which was as bacon! Yes, even out of bacon. It took our food over an hour to arrive!!! Over an hour!!!!! The chicken in the chicken sandwich was fried, barely warm and dry like a sponge. In addition to being dry it was tough!! Lastly, just a chicken sandwich and fries with water was north of $20!!!!! How do you even justify that kind of pricing! Now that we know it was extremely overpriced, the fries were undercooked and there was standing grease on the plate in a few places. When they brought our food, we asked for catsup. I dare to say, we never got the catsup and I don’t think they even cared. You can tell it’s a tourist trap as they must not care about repeat business because they do absolutely nothing to earn repeat business. I will never understand any circumstance EVER return to this restaurant. I would have found more satisfaction with a Snickers bar or a bag of chips for lunch and saved the extra $20. Avoid at...

Went for lunch with my wife on a Saturday it was both of our first time there and seemed like a nice place to go. We ordered the fried pickles for an appetizer, and they came out very hot. I had the Cheeseburger in Paradise with Onion rings and my wife had the Chicken sandwich with fries. We also had 2 mixed drinks and 2 waters. Our bill came out to $90. First of all, the burger was dry, and the onion rings that came with it were few for the over $15.00 we paid for the burger. My wife said that her chicken sandwich was also dry and void of any flavor what so ever. I had a small taste of her sandwich, and she was correct it had no flavor and was dry, like it had sat there for a while. The mixed drinks we had were okay, but they seemed overly sweet with syrup flavor. My overall opinion of this place is that the food and drinks are way overpriced. The atmosphere seemed blah for such a well-known brand. We should have gone to Chili's. The wait staff seemed too busy for our table for two, and we kept having to ask for stuff that should have been provided to us, like utensils and napkins. When we were leaving, the hostess station seemed uninterested in any of the customers leaving or coming in.

I went twice since being in San Antonio and 1st experience was great David our waiter was the coolest. He kept me and my girls laughing he was engaged and kept the drinks chips and salsa on deck but we sat outside to see the Riverwalk and we where surrounded by 3 🐝, no one got stung because David came to the rescue that trip I would give 5 🌟. Second time hubby and I wanted to grab lunch so we stopped in got seated immediately and as we waited for Micheal our waiter we saw someone walk by with these humongous plate of nachos we both agreed that's what was going in our belly. Sad to say we where both disappointed in the Volcano Nachos . The finished product looked good but as you dug in further all we got was a bunch of dry chips. We requested a side of queso and that helped but we ran out of queso and still had a bunch of bottom of the bag chips (that's what I call the last of anything in a bag because it's always broken). Stay away from the 🌋 Nachos if you do dare to try GET MORE QUESO. If you go for the drinks definitely get the who's to blame margarita it was delicious o. The rocks with extra salt (optional). Enjoy!
