My Brother's Bar — Restaurant in San Antonio

From Perth Australia. I was in San Antonio for work for 3 weeks, staying at a hotel across the road from My Brother's Bar. Some of my best memories are having a drink at the Bar speaking with Sal, the owner, and his life stories.

From the loss of his brother in tragic circumstances (hence the name My Brother's Bar) to where he is today. He was such a friendly and accommodating Bar keep.

He even went above and beyond to bring me some homemade beef jerky from a friend of his at no cost after one of our conversations.

As an Australian, it was the ultimate hole in the wall American bar experience that we would only see in films.

If you're looking for a dark hole in the wall then this is the place. Sal the bartender/owner is a rude and entitled person who shouts at customers. There's no beer on tap, only bottled beer from the cooler. The jukebox is broken and you have to sweet talk one of the staff to get the playlist, and then they'll turn up the TV louder than the music you payed...
