Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in San Antonio

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Papa John’s in San Antonio, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly welcome from the staff. The restaurant was clean, well-organized, and had a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The highlight of my visit was the exceptional service provided by the manager, Anthony. He went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Anthony’s attention to detail and genuine care for his customers truly set this Papa John’s apart from other pizza places. He took the time to explain the menu, recommend popular items, and even checked in on us during our meal to make sure everything was to our liking. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! The pizza was hot, fresh, and loaded with high-quality ingredients. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way I like it. We also tried the garlic knots and wings, which were equally impressive. The flavors were spot on, and it was evident that the kitchen staff takes great pride in their work. Overall, my experience at Papa John’s was fantastic, thanks to the excellent service and delicious food. Ordered 2 pizzas & a 2 liter at 822pm. Was quoted 1 hour for delivery. Called twice 1hr 20 min & 1 hr 30 min and automated system said "We're running behind. ETA will be updated..." Finally called 1hr 40 min later and selected the 'place new order' option to get an actual person, and was told it's ready, just waiting on a driver. When asked how long that would be as were already 40min past our quoted time, I was told no idea...maybe 30 minutes. When I expressed my disappointment, I was told the "call center" quoted me wrong "I don't know why the papa johns call center does that. We currently have a two hour wait." I asked if he was "the call center" he said he was not. When asked how I call the same number both times, but get the "call center" one time and a live person another time, I was told "I have no idea." 🙄🤦‍♀️ The guy apologized, and said it would be on it's way as soon as possible, but apologies don't feed my family. Extremely disappointed. Definitely won't be recommending this location...

I guess ordering for delivery online ahead of time isn't even worth it. I called to check the status of my order 15 minutes after the time it was supposed to be delivered and he said a girl was supposed to take my order but doesn't know if she did or not but will have it delivered shortly. I hope my pizza is not cold by the time it gets here. It has now been an extra 15 minutes from when I called and I only live about 5 minutes away! I will write another review on the tastyness but so far the service and delivery has not been great. I ordered my pizza for an 11am delivery hours ahead of time. They even called me at 1030 to let me know they didnt have the drink I wanted so I gave them my next best option. With that I thought my order would be here on time.
