Wow!! Family came here for Easter Sunday and had an amazing time. The food is what really shocked me. I did not expect to have such great food in Pacific Beach. The tri-tip and chicken sandwich were my favorite. We got to bowl after our meal. I'm not an amazing bowler so I didn't expect the partake but I'm glad I did. I was drinking wine but my mom really enjoyed her cocktails. Everyone had so much fun. Can't wait to go back for more!

I love Breakpoint so much, it’s such a great bar and small bowling alley, but what really makes it stand out is they sometimes have insane EDM shows. I’ve seen so many huge bass artists brought in by Project Seismic and Psychosis with a killer sound system, lasers and visuals for a full on rave experience. I’ll keep coming back for all the great shows

Open for Football games and screens are perfect!! They are San Diego's Buckeye Bar & the Steelers Nation bar! This venue is perfect, bowling, reggae music, and plenty of screens to watch the game!!! PB Vibes with the whole sports event too! #GoBuckeyes #SteelersNation Best Sports Bar in San Diego with 4 lanes of Bowling!

I've always believed that great establishments deserve recognition, but to that end terrible establishments should also be called out and this place has earned my first 1-star review on Yelp. We came here for a Saturday afternoon booking for bowling to celebrate a friend's birthday, and it's still a little surprising to me how many things were able to go wrong in the course of an hour.

Bowling: The bowling scoring system was malfunctioning, which was more of an inconvenience than anything. It was not registering half the throws and regularly skipped over players. Based on the other reviews, it seems to be a reoccurring issue that ownership has not addressed. It's blamed on the 'old school technology' but we've been to multiple other bowling alleys in San Diego with the same Brunswick technology and they operate just fine.

Service: It was tediously slow to get our beers and the place was barely packed when we were there. We watched our beer tower sit on the bar counter for over 20 minutes before we got it and we ordered the second tower halfway through our reservation. We didn't receive all our cups or our beer until 5 minutes before our reservation ended, at which point we didn't want anymore as we were about to leave. The waitress ended up comping the beer tower which we thought was very nice.

-Service^2: We brought in bread pudding as our birthday cake, the waitress was nice enough to bring us spoons for the table, and we sang happy birthday for the birthday boy. I had called to confirm the night before to ask if it was okay to bring in a cake for the birthday celebration. At the end of our reservation, (while we were still waiting for the beer and cups we had ordered half an hour before), the manager approached us with a scowl and informed us that "outside food was not allowed" to which we apologized and let her know that we had called ahead to check that it was okay and that we could put it away. She said "I don't know who you talked to" which has always been the worst excuse to me as a business, because businesses should take accountability for what their employees say, especially when it seems like they only have 3-4 employees in their entire establishment. Again, we apologized and told her we wouldn't have brought anything if we were told it wasn't okay in advance. The icing on top was that the other tables also had outside food with cupcakes, cakes, etc but the manager specifically singled us out. As we were gathering our stuff to move to another table to allow the next reservation to bowl in the lane, the manager approached us yet again and proceeded to take the beer tower that they had just comped and say "I need to take this as you did not pay for it." We didn't argue and we just left because at this point we just wanted to get out of there. To clarify, we did not ask for it to be comped, and while we appreciated the sentiment, it was a bit of a slap in the face to not even 5 minutes later have it confiscated from us in the middle of the bar.

TDLR; This review ran on a bit longer than I intended, but overall this place was irredeemably bad in consideration of the bowling (their sole entertainment feature), their service (I hope you're not thirsty because you won't get your orders), and their bordering-hostile customer service. Given the manager's scowl and temperament, it might be better for her to find a different line of work than the service industry. She seems to have a habit of responding to her litany of terrible reviews in a way that belittles and minimizes her customers' negative experiences. I could not recommend this place...

Ive lived in PB 20 years and own a home here. My family and I are proud to call this home. We have lots of friends in the service industry and are considered “regulars” at several bar/restraunts in the area. But today was a first for my wife and i. We left completely humiliated. The bowling alleys hardly worked and the software to activate our round was less than user friendly with zero explanation from staff. We made the best of it with the kids anyways. We had a reservation from 2-3pm. At 2:30 the waiter asked us to move to another alley or leave because he had a large group coming in. We decided to ask for the check instead of moving everything to another lane. The waiter asked if we wanted to charge the credit card on file and i said no I would like to use a different card on my phone, (apple pay). Its a loud place so it’s understandable if he didnt hear me clearly but he was constantly running off before any of us could finish our sentence so its not surprising. the next thing I know the person claiming to be a manager appeared out of some secret room with his camera in my face. I asked what the problem was and he said he suspected i was not going to pay my tab. When i turned to the waiter and reiterated what i had said to him i knew he was embarrassed by his facial expression whether he will admit it or not he knew he screwed up. Such a weird and depressing experience. Basically kicked out of our lane early and then accused of trying to skip on the tab. I still gave a 20% tip even tho the bill looked high. And now i think they prob had already charged me the mandatory 20% gratuity on top of that. This place is a joke. Spend your...

I heard about Break Point being the new Steelers bar through some friends. I was excited to check them out on week 1 & I got there at 830am to stand in line to get me a perfect seat at the bar. Doors opend & we all was greeted my couple of the co-founders of Steelers Club of San Diego ( I do follow them now on Insatgram ), they was super friendly & handed everyone Break Point t-shirts & terrible towels. I got my perfect seat on the corner by the kitchen & my bartender was Becca. Super friendly & quick with her drinks.

I've been to Bubs couple of times last year, when I moved here from Pittsburgh. I honestly wasnt a big fan of them, so I watch the games at home, buddies house or at Mavericks. It felt good being in Steelers Community & it was a lot fun yestereday.

The DJ muisc was a little loud but I went up to him after the game & told him. He was super friendly / respectful & said he is going to work on it for the next game

The food was coming out late & I didn't get mine a hour later. What I had was pretty damn good.

I was pleased that Break Point is the new...
