Burger Lounge — Restaurant in San Diego

PSA: don't eat here within an hour of closing if you expect any amount of service or quality food. Or maybe it was just the team working tonight (including one that appeared to be some sort of manager), who obviously were bothered by our arrival at 8:10. One finally broke away from their conversation to stand at the register, presumably to take our order, but you'd never know it because she didn't say anything and just stood there looking at us. And heaven forbid we had to ask someone to wipe down the counter since there wasn't a clean surface anywhere to sit (imagine the eyerolls). I should have asked what the blonde was doing to my sandwich when I turned around and saw her gloved hand moving the bun before bringing it to us, but I assumed she was just repositioning it on the tray. Only after I finished the sandwich did I notice she was doing all her cleaning duties with gloves on, so I hope I won't be ill in a few hours because I don't trust that she changed her gloves somewhere along the way. We also had to ask for new fries because the ones they brought were way overcooked and weren't fresh. That went over really well (blonde girl again, "these people want new french fries"). No apology or anything.

We are huge Burger Lounge fans and aren't in the area very often, so this was such a big letdown and turn off. I'm having a hard time thinking of a worse customer service experience that I've encountered or where I was made to feel...

Hi, I won’t even give it one star. So to start, we were two families together that the cashier decided to split it two receipts and still put us under the same table number. Which it was fine. Came to get our food, we had our daughter wait for more than 30 min and them saying that they don’t have the order and after that they said oh, we don’t make it anymore and then oh ok, we found the order which was a kids meal. Then the server comes back with only one item from the the whole order saying that was it. And when we explain it to him he came back and brought the rest of the order and was still missing ice cream. At this point we didn’t care because all we cared about is us all eating together after our food is been cold waiting on her to get her meal.

Now comes the manager yelling at us in of other customers saying that we went inside the restaurant and cursed at his employees. Which we didn’t do. And he didn’t even give us a chance to talk and ordered us to leave immediately

I am sorry, but if this is the treatment that your customers should be treated then this is unacceptable.

I’m a little old fashion when it comes to burgers because this is one of the few exception where I generally don’t enjoy truffles or foie gras muddling my little piece of America. I’m also very bitter about the fact that most people will ignore the quality of the bun while I consider it to be just as important as the patty! If I’m ranting and raving, I want to add that any burger that’s too large to fit into your mouth is ridiculous!

The grass fed beef is tender, perfectly grilled outside while still pink inside. The patty is sandwiched between a fluffy and delicious bun, which is made up of a blend of organic whole wheat and organic white flour. All the cheese options are organic and the greens are always fresh and crisp. The most wonderful thing about this place is their house made sauces. They offer ranch, thousand island, and BBQ, and all of them are delicious! The ranch isn’t too heavy while still rich, the thousand island is tangy and creamy, and the BBQ has bright and sweet notes to compliment the tart.

This is the Holy Grail people! Unfortunately for me, Burger Lounge is currently only available in San Diego and...
