First Review: Just got a sandwich at Chris’s Liquor!! Haven’t been here in gosh probably 25 years, sandwiches were always so good!! Returned today and was greeted by Brandon who is super nice, super chill, friendly, and professional :) Talon made my sandwich, BEST sandwich ever... fresh food and the pickles were nice and cold and crunchy!! Just got another sandwich from Chris’s Liquor! Of course greeted by the super genuinely friendly and good vibes of Brandon, who always makes this place a pleasure to go to :) got my awesome sandwich made by David...so good!! This place is busy because the merchandise is so great!! Friendly suggestion to Greg 😇 to set up the credit card machine so we can tip off our debit and credit cards...🤙 tried to tip off my debit card but system is not yet set up for it...just a friendly suggestion, would love to be able to tip the boys off of our cards when we don’t have cash on us 🥰😎Tried the deviled eggs the other day, dang they are so good!!! I ordered a a sandwich not toasted no mustard just mayonnaise and no horseradish, I waited outside about 10 minutes, I was the only one in the store that ordered a sandwich although he probably had some phone orders I never heard my name called over the loudspeaker so I went inside, Ihe was making a sandwich and thought it was mine, he was putting mustard on it and then I asked him not to toast it, he took it back out of the oven with an attitude and threw it on the counter, few minutes went by so now you're looking at 15- minutes almost he said don't tell me how to make someone sandwich I said I thought he was my sandwich.. five later I said well where's my sandwich well it was on the counter on the side where you couldn't see it ,then with an attitude he slid it over to me and said here's your sandwich now leave and don't come back of course I got my sandwich it was very much toasted and crispy an it cuts the roof of my mouth and it had mustard on it when I only ask for mayonnaise I've been going there for years and I will...

Hands down the only place to grab lunch if you are in the Ocean Beach/Point Loma/Mission Bay/Sports Arena/Sunset Cliffs area. Some of the nicest guys around. Sandwiches are great and made with care and quality (Boar's Head!) and a really good selection of craft beer in the cases.

Rob is my guy and one of the friendliest, most personable people I've dealt with down in the area and he will throw suggestions your way if you get lost in the menu, because it's pretty lengthy. I've been coming to Chris' for about 10 years now and I can't say I've ever been disappointed with a sandwich that I've had there.

A word for the wary though, if it's a beautiful weekend day in OB, you will find yourself waiting in line to order and get your sandwich, so prepare yourself accordingly.

By the way, did I mention you can drink on the patio? Just ask them to pop the top on your beer and enjoy the people watching of that which is OB.
