Gaslamp Pizza — Restaurant in San Diego

WARNING: COMING HERE MEANS HIGH RISK OF LOSING YOUR MONEY AND NOT GETTING PIZZA.

I had the most irritating experience with this dishonest business. I went in to order a pizza for my friend. I placed my order for a veggie pizza, then they told me it would be 20-25 minute wait and to write my name and number on an order form so they can call me when my pie is done. We paid $30 total for the 18" pizza (which means we left A LOT of tip). I left my contact information and went to my hotel down the block. Once I got back, I asked my friend to pick up the pizza. He had the exact name and address, and when he arrived, they told him there was no order for a veggie pizza. When my friend called me about this, I could not believe my ears. We had LITERALLY just placed an order! My poor friend, whom I ordered the pizza for, had to walk over only to be denied the pizza we had already paid for. I think while they may have earned 30 undeserving dollars, what they have lost is more valuable than money. They have lost integrity and trust. Good thing about business is that these types of hustle businesses will never last, and I can't wait to celebrate the closing down of this place in the future to come.

I wanted to like this place, I had very high hopes despite some negative reviews. The man behind the counter was nice enough. I was there around lunch time and was the only person in line. It took a couple minutes before he came to take my order, but he did acknowledge I was standing there and said he'd be with me in a minute. I ordered two slices and he mentioned it would be cheaper for 2 slices and a soda, which I thought was cool of him to mention. I got the slices to go, brought them directly back to my hotel room without setting them down anywhere between the shop and my room. When I opened the box with the second slice, it was only half a piece of pizza. It looked like someone had BIT into it and eaten half! The first slice tasted good, but for $5 a slice I certainly expect a full, un-bitten slice! I was gonna go back later to try other menu items but I have no desire to go back ever again. I placed an order on their website for delivery. The time was 1119 pm and i recieved an order confirmation from slice(3rd party) through email giving me a confirmation number and delivery time of 1219-1225. I waited for my food until 1240. I callled the shop to check the status of my order. The guy who answered the phone didnt want my name, confirmation number, what i ordered or to hear any of my information. I was told if we got your order a ticket is printed or its confirmed on our tablet and u have it already. Once again how could u verify if you wouldnt even listen to my order number or name. By the way i had already been charged 84 dollars. So no help or attempt to get me my order or money. Luckily i was able to contact slice (the third partyfrom the reciept) and find out that they had confirmed and completed my order via their tablet 2 minutes after recieving my order .
