We went here Saturday night Nov. 16th 2024 for my sisters birthday. My sister was excited to go to an Irish bar with great Irish music. I was surprised when we walked in that it was so empty.
When we walked in we noticed that there wasn't any Irish music playing, instead they were playing regular music. I asked the person at the front if they were going to play any Irish music and she said, "No we're (the employees) are tired of the Irish music and so we're not doing that." I asked if they could change the music to Irish tonight since it's an Irish bar and we were there for the Irish music, and she said "I don't think so but you can ask your server."
So I asked the server and she said the same thing, "the employees are so tired of Irish music that we don't want to play it." When I asked her to please change it to Irish Music, she dropped her head and put her hand on her face and then said, "we are so tired of that music!"
I understand that the employees are tired of it, but it's for the customers. If they don't like the music anymore, then move to a different job. I have no idea why management/owners would take the music away from the paying customers, because the employees are tired of it; the music isn't for the employees, it's for the guests that expect Irish music in an Irish bar. I asked for the manager, and the waitress left irritated.
It's no wonder they were empty. They were no different than any other bar in the area. What made them special was that it was an Irish bar with an Irish feel and great Irish music. But they changed that to please the employees. How stupid.
The waitress came back and said that manager is on break and wouldn't talk to us until she was ready. So we decided to leave.
We found a great Irish bar just a few doors down called "Blarney Stone Pub". We asked them to play Irish music and they said "Absolutely!"
Eight of us spent hours there drinking and we all had a great time. How stupid that The Field Irish Pub management/owners think it's more important to make sure the employees are happy with the music instead of the customers. And worse, they let hundreds of dollars of income walk out the door.
They use to have live music and dancers, and I thought they might have that on a Saturday night, and so I asked them about it, but they said "...because of covid we're not doing that anymore." I thought, Covid! That's over and things are back to normal now...what are you talking about!!! The Field Irish Pub used to be packed on the entertainment nights, and so I have no idea why they wouldn't bring that back?!
Later that night, we walked by The Field Irish Pub and it was still empty with just a few people inside. And this was a Saturday night when they should have been full like the many bars around them. But their foolishness seems to be chasing customers away. I know we won't...
Read moreIf you're looking for a bar that gets everything right—ambience, drinks, service, and energy—look no further than The Field. From the second you walk in, there's a sense that you're in for a great night.
The vibe strikes the perfect balance between ordering shots and laid-back. Whether you’re there for an after-work drink, a weekend hangout, or a special occasion, the atmosphere fits. Lighting is just right, music sets the tone without overwhelming conversation, and the crowd is friendly and diverse.
Now let’s talk about the real stars of the show: the bartenders. I thought they would be frustrated when our large party ordered round after round of lemon drop shots, but they never waivered from excellent customer service and always managing to stay calm and cool even when the place is packed.
Then there’s Kayla, the manager. She’s the kind of leader every hospitality spot dreams of having. Present, professional, and personable—she runs the floor with confidence and grace. You can tell she sets the tone for the whole team. She checks in with guests like they’re longtime friends, makes sure everything is running smoothly, and never misses a beat. It’s clear she cares deeply about the experience each customer has.
Every detail, from the drink presentation to the cleanliness of the bar and the pacing of service, speaks to strong, thoughtful management and a team that actually enjoys what they do.
Bottom line: The Field is the kind of place you come to once and then find yourself coming back to again and again. Huge kudos to the team—and a special shoutout to Kayla for leading it...
Read moreIf go to a place called Irish Pub for the first time, order Irish Coffee and Guinness beer and decide whether to eat food or just chips. This means that it is confirmed by those two whether it's Authentic or Plastic. If you want to go to a non-Authentic place and pay money to eat food that's not delicious, you can just go to a regular restaurant. I stopped by St Patrick day in here but there were so many people that couldn't go in, So visited here again on Sunday morning to have an authentic Irish breakfast. Of course, I ordered Irish coffee and Guinness first, and then I ordered breakfast with anticipation. As expected, it was a decision that wasn't wrong and the idea was correct. It was an authentic Irish breakfast and enjoyed the right fish & Chips for the first time in years. Irish Coffee was similar to Buena Vista in SF But unlike there , It puts chocolate Powder Here, And the smells and taste are conceed to the end . The chips were fresh and used by unfrozen real potatoes . It was excellent and thinking to go once again this coming weekend . If there was one flaw, the black and white pudding was different from the authentic. It's not an imported product that I am thinking they make in local . Nevertheless, this is a very good restaurant and bar. I didn't ask, but the name of this place as the title of a famous...
