Ok so I moved to San Diego back in 2016. I've managed to get a job back in January 2017 that had me travel throughout a lot of San Diego county. But due to starting at 1400 hours, Grab & Go Subs was always already closed. Everytime I passed by this place, I always told myself that one day I'll try it. Fast forward 5 years later, it's my day off and I want breakfast, and I remember this place. I get ready and head out. Let me tell you, I knew I was going to love this place. I ordered the The Italian and oh man, was it everything I thought it was going to be.
The bread was toasty and crunchy, the meats were proportional along with the veggies and sauce, and the coffee was absolutely perfect for this breezy San Diego morning. Plenty of seating indoors and out. Great selection, great service, and even more amazing food. This is definitely the type of place if you work a 9-5 job downtown around the area. They are not open Sundays, but maybe they will be in the future since they are opening up more locations. This is a place you have to try if you are a sandwich lover...
Read moreGrab & Go Subs is a hot spot in downtown San Diego off of C Street for lunch sandwiches. The weekday I went it was really busy but they have everything down to a science and provide friendly and efficient service. You order your food, pay and wait for your number to be called. I ordered a Meatball Sub on this day and, as you can see by my pic, it’s not super large in width but it is really tasty and the marinara is delicious. I only mark it down one star because I thought it was a little skimpy on the meatball size. I will try something different next time and report back. There is zero free parking in the area so walking or ride share is...
