I applied for two positions at this location one of them was cake froster. I have over 30 years experience frosting cakes I've literally frosted thousands of cakes I currently have a food handlers card. The position paid 16 something per hour which I guess is minimum wage. When I arrived from my appointment I was interviewed outside on the sidewalk. By a kid who is at least half my age. He told me they were very busy because it was wedding season, he asked me if I could start immediately and then he told me he had other candidates to interview and he might get back to me in 4 to 5 days. I have more experience than he's been alive on the Earth and he didn't hire me on the spot. As he walked back into the store he was shaking his head no. I've never been treated so unprofessionally in my entire life, I have applied for hundreds of jobs in my lifetime and I've never had an interview conducted outside on the sidewalk. To say that this was unprofessional is an understatement. In fact I don't even think that that was a real interview. I have no idea what this establishment is looking for when it comes to a cake froster but apparently someone with 30 years experience frosting cakes is not enough to draw the same frosting lines on every single cake that they make. For $16 per hr.Apparently I am not good enough to have an interview conducted inside the establishment. Instead of being hired on the spot which was what most places would have done I was told they may get back to me later. Because surely they're going to come across someone with more than 30 years experience frosting cakes so they might want to get that person in there for the 16 something per hour and not me. I can see why this place has many job openings. Why would you work for a place that interviews you outside on the sidewalk, does not hire you immediately for a minimum wage job, the person that interviews you has been alive on the earth less years than I've been frosting cakes. So I don't think I'm ever going to Grace this business with my business anymore. I will not be purchasing any more cakes from this place because apparently I am not good enough to even be interviewed inside the establishment. So I don't feel good enough to purchase any of their products ever again. In fact I am never going to walk into that store again for any reason. And just let me say to this establishment, congratulations on your hire, your hiring manager Will, he does an excellent job at running candidates off. Completely overqualified candidates that is. I don't know who you want working for you but you have picked the wrong people to work for you. Maybe I'm just too old, the other girls that were working there were in their twenties just like the hiring manager. If you don't want middle-aged women to apply for your jobs maybe you should say that on your careers section .Instead of wasting candidates time for a job that I don't think is going to happen because I've never been interviewed outside and I honestly don't think that was a real interview. It was just a complete waste of my time. Good luck in your hiring I hope you can fill...
Read moreSo I decided to get a gender reveal cake from this place. We had a whole party and celebrated a little girl… well two weeks later I went to the doctor to find out it was a boy. The guy at the counter F-ed up my order and put the wrong gender in the cake!!! How do you mess that up? I gave you the results on my phone right there while I was paying, you saw it with your own eyes. It was really frustrating and honestly embarrassing. Everyone bought me girl things and then we had to tell everyone it’s actually a boy. The results never changed, the guy who worked at the counter is either stupid and can’t read, or typed the wrong gender into the computer on accident. Needless to say I’m furious. And to be fair I’m very happy about having a boy and I’m excited about it, I’m just upset that my gender reveal party was such a bust. Peoples money was wasted on unnecessary girl gifts, ugh it just makes me so mad thinking about it. NEVER trust Nothing Bunt Cakes for a gender revel cake.
Update: the manager refunded what we paid for it and gave us...
Read moreI ordered $60 from this place and even offering to pay for them to fill up a balloon for me which was a unicorn balloon for my daughter, they refused to do it. I think that’s one of the reasons companies break. I will never came back there anymore.
To be more specific: they only wanted to sell they own balloons and the lady said it was their policy to not fill up personal balloons but then I said that I could buy their balloons if they could only fill up one single and little unicorn balloon that I had. They said no and had me driving and losing 15 minutes to fill up my balloons from another place. This is just so much inconvenient for the customer and I think that for every policy there should be an exception. But no problem, I lost my precious 15 minutes going to another place just to fill up my daughter’s balloons and you guys got one more bad review. Fair...
