Surf Lounge — Restaurant in San Diego

We recently hosted our engagement party at Surf Lounge...and it was epic! Derek, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The space had such a cool, laid-back vibe — the perfect mix of cozy coffee shop and surf culture — and it created the most memorable setting for our celebration having the back deck to enjoy with our closest friends and family.

From the delicious drinks to the super friendly service, every detail was spot on. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the space and the overall vibe of the location.

I love the surf lounge. I visit it pretty often before/after going surfing and I'm always happy when I do. The coffee is really really good, I usually get an oat latte and it is one of my favorites in town, bagels are also really good when they are available on weekends. This is a coffee shop, surf shop, but also a place where you can interact with the local community. Derek is always available to talk board designs, if you are interested in learning more about surfboard design he is your guy. I feel very lucky that Surf Lounge is around the corner from my house. We go often for lattes and there is nothing better than Alex’s home made syrups. They’re always changing and they are super creative: my favorites recently are banana nutmeg and cardamom butter. The oat milk latte with one of the flavors is never too sweet and always perfectly made. In addition to having the best coffee around, the surf shop is dope, and the team hosts neighborhood block parties and fundraisers. Alex and Derek care a ton about the neighborhood and their customers and it shows. Truly great guys. 11/10 recommend Surf Lounge...
