I have decided to not dine-in at this place again. The food is NOT the reason, but the service is. I might order to-go, but am never dining there.
I had the House Special Chow Mein with BBQ Pork and Veggie Ham and the Eggplant & String Beans with black bean sauce. These are #71 and #42 on the menu respectively. Both were tasty. The Eggplant dish is super-hot and I had to cut open the eggplants to help them cool faster. Reason 1). I paid in cash and was hoping to receive the change before paying them some tips. But the lady just kept the cash and said "thank you".
I felt awkward to ask for the change. I wanted to give them some tips but not the full change. They should either 1). ask me if I'm offering the entire change amount as tips, or 2). offer the change amount back to me and wait for tips. Reason 2). They offered tea instead of water for welcome drinks. I later saw that I was charged $1 for the tea. They should tell me before hand that the tea will cost me a dollar, and that I can shift to water if I don't want to pay for it.
The tea itself was tasty, but I felt cheated of a dollar. I don't think I will dine-in there ever again due to these experiences. The food itself is tasty but not...
Read moreFebruary 2025 - Amazing food! The decor and vibe of the place is pretty null but the food is what you’re there for.
We ordered the Twice Cooked ‘Pork’ and the BBQ ‘Pork and ‘Ham’. Both were delicious. They do have tea they give you at the beginning and it’s automatically added a $1 per person to your bill, we found that out at the end. The food is pricey as well but the flavor and the portion size makes up for it.
Would definitely be back.
EDIT: November 2025 - Came back a few months later on our way down the coast. The service before wasn’t really great but it was something we could look past and I had left a 5 star review because the food and portion sizes were worth it. This time though, the moment we walked in we felt like we weren’t wanted? The lady seemed annoyed to take our order, stared us down the entire time eating, and she would come up and grab dishes as soon as she thought we were done. I paid for a side of rice to have with our main dish, she came and grabbed an empty plate and tried to take the rice dish while I still had rice in it? I had to ask for it back. The food is still great but I will also add the portion sizes are less than when we visited in February… Also the chow mein wasn’t as fried as before. Last two pics are the most...
Read moreI recently visited Enjoy Vegetarian in San Francisco and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience. As a vegan, I am always on the lookout for great plant-based options and Enjoy Vegetarian did not disappoint.
We started with the vegan spring rolls, which were crispy and filled with delicious vegetables. Next up were the dumplings, which were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. And finally, we tried the fried won tons, which were a real standout - crispy on the outside and stuffed with a tasty filling.
What I loved most about Enjoy Vegetarian, besides the amazing food, was how fast the service was. We were in and out in no time, but didn't feel rushed at all. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting.
Overall, I would say that Enjoy Vegetarian is the best vegan restaurant in San Francisco. The food is top-notch and the service is excellent. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious, plant-based cuisine in...
