Fresh Brew Coffee is the kind of neighborhood gem you want to keep to yourself, but it’s too good not to share.
I stopped in for a quick bite and ordered the BBQ Chicken Banh Mi—and it did not disappoint. The bread was perfectly crisp without tearing up your mouth (a rare banh mi win), and the chicken was juicy, flavorful, and grilled just right. It had all the classic fixings—pickled veggies, cilantro, jalapeño—with just the right kick.
But the real surprise hit? The Taro Milk Tea with Boba. Creamy, lightly sweet, and not overly artificial-tasting like a lot of taro drinks. The boba was fresh, chewy, and had that perfect springiness. Honestly, it felt like the best of a dessert and a drink all in one.
The vibe here is casual and welcoming—locals popping in, construction crews grabbing sandwiches, tourists lucky enough to stumble in. The owners are kind, service is quick, and prices are super reasonable.
If you’re in the area and craving a satisfying sandwich + something cold and sweet, this place hits the spot. I’ll definitely be back...
Read moreWhen I used to live in SF, I used to come here all the time, me and the owner used to chat every time, have a laugh, he used to throw dad jokes around all morning while his daughter sat there and did her homework, or was drawing. Im a fighter and he used to tell me I should get my hands registered. All her drawings were actually on the walls. Then I moved out of CA, and came back five yrs later, right away I went back. This time, no dad jokes, no kid sitting there drawing, most of the drawings were gone, it shows just how much places and people grow, I wonder if its been sold? Anyone who reads this and knows, let me know. the food is still amazing, the service is still great, same location, it brings back so many memories. Im going this morning again, he might not remember me, but this will always remain my favorite place in San Francisco. Cheers to the good times and I hope their business flourishes for more...
Read moreThis place is my favorite cafe local cafe. They're the earliest place open near me, and they keep a loyal crowd of regulars. All menu items simple and you consistently get exactly what you order, with great, high quality ingredients. What I love most about this place though is the customer service. After coming here, you can't help but start your day off happy af. The man and woman that work every morning I have ever come here are a tag-team of unicorns. They secretly make your food and drinks with love and happiness that we have all been missing this entire year. I'm not going to lie, I woke up sad and dragged my feet over to Fresh Brew to fill myself with caffeine, yet I left feeling like I just hugged a giant, fluffy teddy bear. This place needs an award for for civic duty, for keeping the neighborhood alive and for having a lasting impact on everyone who enters. They're a gd...
