The good: the milkshakes were awesome. The bad: ordered a Burger for my girlfriend. We had asked for a burger with bacon and avocado, lettuce all that. What we had received was a Grey, meatloaf looking patty(dry, no oil) that was stacked on another patty, that were not even in sellable form. We’re talking “let me rip up a patty and feed it to my baby.” Yeah. A third of a patty here, and 1/4 there, you get the idea. Not to mention it was dry, flavorless, and simply not edible. Disgusting is what it was. And there was no bacon or avocado. Strange. What’s the point of even offering table service?? When I mentioned this all to our server, Danny, he said “ok, give us a chance to make it right.” Understandable. But where’s the customer support!? I felt like I was being annoying or unreasonable… a “Karen.” When instead, my concerns should have been treated with respect and acknowledgement at the very least. It wasn’t like I was trying to get my food for free. With that said, I figured it’s best they don’t remake the burger. The shakes were fine enough and we just wanted to relax and chat over a dinner table. I Quickly made that known, to our server. Also, I noticed that the security guard began to pace by the door(near my table) Perhaps they thought I wasn’t going to pay because of my appearance? I am a young skater/pothead so they probably assume the worst. Also, I noticed the owner/manager, who had a name tag that said “boss man” and he was mean mugging me!!! Giving me these eyes that were anything but welcoming. Why would you mean mug your customers?? That is the exact message he was portraying to me without saying a word. Body language is 95% of communication anyway! With that said, I had decided to get up, and ask him for the bill. I wanted to end any distrust, or assumptions that they might have had. After all, I just want to enjoy our milkshakes and relax over a dinner table. I noticed that the boss man didn’t seem to care about my situation. He didn’t ask how he can make it right, he didn’t ask anything nor did he apologize. He did remove it (the burger and old stale onion rings) from my bill, after all we never ate anything , and I was still left with a bill of $35.XX($42 with an 18% tip; yes I still chose to tip as again, I JUST WANTED TO RELAX!!! and enjoy our table. Couldn’t even do that!!!!) And also he had the nerve to charge us for ranch, which I had to bring to his attention because, again, we didn’t eat the food. It’s funny because, he wanted me to pay without looking at the bill. I asked for an itemized receipt and when provided with the receipt, I noticed the ranch for a dollar. Yeah, it’s only a dollar, but the point is that we didn’t EAT. That is so sneaky, unprofessional and conniving!! How can you treat a customer like that,? Not only did you treat us like we were less than, as if we were trying to get a free meal, as if we were trying to run out without paying, the problem isn’t me, sir. Next time, hire competent cooks!!!!!! The Mel’s diner location in Roseville, never had these problems!! Juicy burgers and great service. But not this location. I don’t recommend this location nor will ANY MELS Diner ever get my business...
Read moreProbably the worst dining experiences I have had in a very long time. Manager made us feel incredibly unwelcome, server was uninterested not once did he check in on us other than to awkwardly stand over us with the bill was than told you don’t have to leave me a tip if you don’t want to.. I have worked in hospitality for over 20 years and not ever have I locked guests inside the restaurant 1hr+ before closing time this was done today made me and my wife feel incredibly unsafe. I asked is this normal for them to lock the door while people are still inside and was told yea we close whenever we want “it’s slow” there was 7 tables 3 people at the counter. The door was locked at 10:52pm with countless diners trying to stop in for some food. The food was not great either missing ingredients cold fries messy presentation. Other diners also seemed to have noticed the managers unwelcoming and unfriendly energy as I witnessed a gentleman ask very nicely if it was possible if they could order something to go only to be very rudely told no I’m closed.they were dining at a table and the gentleman’s order was a small order. Website and google states they close at 12am I’m certain ownership wouldn’t appreciate the amount of lost revenue if this normal behavior but based on the vibe this is absolutely normal behavior overall a...
Read more25 minutes to get food!!! Gum on Both shoes . No service after got plate. The food actually tasted pretty good it’s just that it did not come in the right sequence and then when it did come hot, I still didn’t come. I asked for fried before the food came as an appetizer and I got the fries. To take home with me in a bag they gave me hot french fries in the bag to take home with me to get cold since I could not eat the one with the thing I’ve already eaten the cookies on my plate and send a message food what happened to none he didn’t come my french fries on the ticket but I surely couldn’t eat anymore. So the manager took the french fries off my ticket but the situation is I got gum on the bottom of both of my shoes and they had nothing to say about that. French fries are not both of my shoes. Can I come on the bottom of them and I had to get this gum off the bottom of my shoe. Then I realize both of my shoes had come home number, and their bus boy was too busy flirting with some lady that was coming to work or whatever they were doing. I don’t know they were just gabbing and gabbing and then took drinks to people out in the car and then I know he was not fussing tampons because it was food left on the table from a long time and he surely didn’t look under the table when he did bus to Tampa and he could...
