The food here is so good, and the menu is massive. So, do a little homework before coming in or youāll be stuck trying to figure out what goes with what lol. I usually go salty/umami to start, spicy for the main, and something a little sweet like an Old Fashioned on the side. Whiskey based cocktails always makes Japanese food hit harder in the best way.
At Ace Wasabi though, I went full spice mode, blistered shishito peppers, the Shake It Off roll, and Hakushu 12 Year straight up. Absolute fire. I order the 8 pc Sashimi
Albacore ( usually not a huge fan but this albacore was tasty)
Salmon (some of the best Iāve had in the city, extremely tender and buttery)
Yellowfin Tuna ( excellent firmness yet melty in the mouth)
Bluefin Tuna (very fresh, nice portions)
I also order a Spicy Scallop Roll
Honestly this was one of the best scallop rolls Iāve ever had. The scallops were so fresh and tender. The spicy mayo that held it together was pleasantly hot and mixed with the greens and cucumber it was perfect on a warm summer San Francisco night

We walked in on a Sunday evening and were seated right away (two people) so I guess thereās no need to make reservations for small parties. Service was friendly and food came fast. As for the rolls they were just fine, probably Victorias Secret was the best (had a Mexican vibe to it thanks to cilantro and jalapeƱo). Other two were pretty bland. I donāt think weāre going to come back as there are lots of great sushi...
