Presidio Parkway Inn — Hotel in San Francisco

The shower water leaked through the shower stall and the stall was uncomfortably small. There was also mold in the shower and no door handle to open the door. There was someones dirty socks under the bathroom sink, you can tell the housjeeping has a lot to be desired. The floors were filthy dirty that our white socks where blackened as if the floors were never mopped. The dark flooring hid the dirt very well. We asked to have the rooms cleaned and floors mopped but they weren't because I had a second pair of shoes that were on the floor that weren't moved. The microwave turntable didn't turn because it was missing the piece that the glass turntable sits on. There is no phone in the room to call the front desk. No kleenex box, extra toilet tissue roll or cold cups to use. We had to ask several times for more towels and those were given to the party we were traveling with yet we never received the wash cloths that were requested. Not once did they make up our rooms during our 3-night stay. The smoke detector was found in a drawer with the battery out of it. When I asked the manager about it, he said it needed a new battery and left it on the shelf and didn't bother to install it at all. We ended up spraying and wiping every surface with wipes to disinfect and get rid of the dust. I wanted to mop the floors myself, but my husband didn't want me to. There is only one person there running the entire place. He can't handle it. The pictures of the rooms are deceiving. A 1-star rating is generous for this room. The other party we were travling with ended up switching rooms because of the leaks and mold but also encountered very similar issues that we did. This was the worst place we have ever stayed in all our years traveling! We couldn't...

Unbelievable! 😡 Our room was canceled two days before our stay.They left us stranded and homeless. No apology, no help.

Long and nerve racking story short:

A couple of months ago, we booked a room in this hotel. Because we wanted to take another route on our road trip, though, we inquired whether it would be possible to cancel the room without any fees which would have made up almost the entire room price for our four-night-stay. No reply for months, couldn't get a hold of them. So we had to go. We rescheduled our tour for them so that this hotel reservation would fit right into the schedule. Since we are not from US, we do not have an American cellphone contract which is why we could only receive emails etc. in our next hotel. Two days before our stay, they all of the sudden sent us an email (which we could not receive at the time without wifi) and asked us whether we still want the room. Two hours after that, they sent out another email stating that they had just canceled our room!! When we arrived in the next hotel (having access to wifi again) we could believe it! For months they hadn't replied to our inquiry but two days before our stay, they just cancelled on us without waiting for our confirmation! When we called they just said, "You canceled the room, you canceled the room." We hadn't! We had inquired whether something like that is even possible, months ago. The lady hung up on us twice when we firmly explained that they cannot just cancel on us two days before our stay. No help, they just left us homeless two days before our stay. The other poor ratings about this "hotel" make it clear....

This place is just OK, we stayed here for 4 nights. The maids were nice and helpful. The hotel manager was nice, the location was nice and that's IT. Thier continental breakfast was a joke, a several danish's, and bread for toast along with coffee and whatever orange juice you can grab. Main office doesn't open for breakfast until 8:00am and there were many mornings I've noticed other people staying there would line up at the door to get the danish's and I've noticed the people would grab more than their fair share to bring to their rooms and leave nothing for the rest of us. The room was ok, however, after taking a shower and put on some clean clothes, I would walk around with my white socks. After a few minutes of walking around the room, I would notice my socks would turn a charcoal color, ewww! After that, I would tell my family to walk around the room with their shoes on. Oh, and their Wi-Fi was less than average. My in-laws got another room and thier room smelt like cigarette smoke. We stayed here in April and it was warmer than average temperature (mid to upper 70's) for this time of year and there are no air conditioning, it was very hot in our rooms every evening when we would come back for the night, we were forced to leave the door and window open to let cool air in, which I don't feel safe doing. This place doesn't deserve anything more than an average rating, FOR REAL... unless you just need a place to sleep, this is all this place...
