MoMo's — Restaurant in San Francisco

Meh, don't go out of your way to stop in. Food gets two stars but friendly and attentive staff bring the place up to three.

I came here for a team lunch with a group of about 7. We had other places in mind but had trouble finding a last minute reservation for a big group so to Momo's we went. We were seated right away and the staff was incredibly attentive, bringing us drinks and checking in several times to see if we were ready to order.

The food is where things fell flat. The prices were ridiculous for anything that's not a paid-for business lunch but the food was mostly additives. For example, the calamari had barely any calamari in it, instead half the pieces were onion, pepper, sweet potato, carrot, lemon, or other. Similarly, the cioppino was beautifully plated, but on digging into it, it was filled with peppers, onions, tomatoes, and not that much seafood. It lacked the depth of flavor found in a proper cioppino and instead tasted like an overdone tomato sauce.

Nearly the rest of my table ordered burgers and they seemed fairly satisfied, so maybe that's where it's at. Either way, I won't be running back here...

Well, the food seemed okay, but my friend and I were both given something different from what we ordered. When I went to try to rectify the situation, I was treated horribly by one of the managers. I have no idea what her problem was. I understand she was busy, as I work in food service too, but her treatment of me and my friend Bridgette, both of whom were paying customers who had our orders screwed up terribly, was unconscionable. After we tried to get her help fixing out order, she rolled her eyes at us and called for security. The security guard, Zack, was very kind and patient and accommodating. He did nothing wrong. However he did advise that continuing to try to talk sense to the manager was not likely to be effective. I find it very odd that your staff seems to be familiar with the unrational behavior of that manager to the point that they would advise against customers trying to talk to her. Anyway, the point of this message is that my friend never had her meal refunded. In fact we were told it was "unlikely to happen" with the current manager in her state of mind. First time here, came for a pregame dinner at 2pm for the Post Malone concert on Tuesday July 1st..

Only thing I have as a negative, was when we walked in we were told that due to them having a lot of reservations that we had a time limit to eat our meal. Which made us feel rushed.

This statement was a bit concerning because as we where being sat on the patio, I noticed that their inside dining room was completely empty. If you've been here, the inside looks like it can sit over 200 people

I had tried to make a reservation myself , but their reservation system showed no open tables past 2pm. We took a shot and walked in as others did too and got a table.

The food and service was great. Afterwards the wife had to powder her nose as they say about a hour later and the inside dining area was still completely empty.

This was after 3pm !

So what was the concern about our eating time limit?
