So, I will shamefully admit that this marks the fifth time I had ice cream this week. But man, was it worth it! Move on over CREAM, you've got some sugary competition! Kind of. CREAM, in its various incarnations across the Bay Area, is still far more easily accessible than Over the Moon out in Marina, and sometimes convenience does win out over quality (instant ramen, anyone?).

While my friend ordered their coffee caramel crunch with a chocolate chip cookie on the side, I went with their pistachio and a double fudge on the side (neither of us were willing to do a full ice cream sandwich for our first meal of the day). I was initially a little skeptical about the savory and sweet combination, but it worked out fantastically well: the slightly salty pistachio ice cream offset the super sweet double fudge (and chocolate chip half I snagged from my friend) nicely.

Their ice cream alone can't stand up to the likes of Humphry and Mr & Mrs, but was definitely tastier than that of CREAM. Their cookies, on the other hand, were quite tasty on their own, though a little inconsistent in texture: the chocolate chip was nice and soft, while the double fudge was harder. Whether this was due to higher demand and thus, faster turnover for the former, or just a matter of how the cookies are made, I'm uncertain.

Accessibility Info

Venue - The venue's pretty small, with slightly higher counter seating up front, and a few regular two tops in the back, that are perfectly accessible.

My absolute favorite ice cream shop in San Francisco. Their later hours are perfect for my weekly date night. The ice cream is always so fresh and delicious. Every flavor hits your tongue and takes you to another level! I love the cookie monster, oreo espresso, pb&j, mint chip, banana, banana Nutella, peanut butter chocolate, pecan, and so many more I could go on! They have toppings you can add. Always grab one of their cookies as well! I love their snickerdoodle, chocolate chip peanut butter, oreo, and peanut butter cookies! They also have bowls you can put the ice cream in made out of their cookies called cookie cups! So unique and fun to eat! The staff is always amazingly kind and welcoming. I love how everytime I've gone in there, each member I've encountered has been super awesome! I love the energy, how can you not love working in an ice cream shop!? 5 stars, a must stop in San Francisco! Lots of great shops and...

Any ice cream fan knows that if the vanilla ice cream isn’t good, none of the ice cream flavors at a location will be good. Sadly, OTMC is one of the hose places. Their vanilla is watery and doesn’t have enough egg yolk in it. Surprisingly, the funfetti flavor is better but only for a few bites until you start tasting pure sugar. What this place is doing wrong, is making everything far too sweet rather than letting other flavors come through. It’s the same story with their cookies and cookie cups, no taste of butter or brown sugar— just pure sugar and a hint of chocolate from the chips. We were disappointed. Service didn’t make up for the lack of food either, as it was basic. I recommend whoever is reading this to head over to the Mission and try Cream instead— much better!...

This creamery is open relatively late and it was great! It's a small building, but there's room for a ton of flavors. There wasn't a lot of seating in the back, but we didn't have to wait too long for a seat. They offer cookie cups instead of the typical paper cups of you really want to go all out for a treat here. They're definitely worth the extra bit of money. The cookie cups we had were soft without falling apart from the wetness of the ice cream. I had the lemon ice cream in a snickerdoodle cup and tried some of the mint and lavender ice creams. I don't actually like lavender, but I couldn't resist the temptation of trying something new. The lavender flavor was not overpowering and I could see how one might enjoy it. The lemon ice cream was spot on.

A walk through the Marina is always a pleasant experience when ice cream is involved. The workers are nice and professional. Samples are provided when asked (Covid really messed this up for some ice cream shops 🄲). We chose the coffee caramel crunch and salted butterscotch. They do have options for a cookie bowl but we opted for the regular cup. We had no issues with our flavors. The ice cream scoop could’ve been a little bigger but we didn’t feel cheated or anything. Definitely a place we will come back to if we take a stroll through the Marina again!

One of the best ice cream I had in my life, a trust me I know my ice cream! I went for straciatella and earl grey- both we amazing! My family selected other flavors like mint or vanilla and thy were all equally good. Lovely and helpful staff on top of it make this a delightful must visit spot. One advice- for scoops in the cookie take the little tray just like advised- don’t try to be smarter, it is there for a reason. Overall great experience!!!
