I went with friends on a day trip to SF and we wanted to get matching permanent bracelets. The employee was friendly and the shop is very well curated. However, when it was my turn to get my bracelet, the employee lost the charm I had chosen. The manager and employee insinuated that I had lost the charm despite the fact that just moments before the employee had been holding the charm. My friends and I, and the employee, were on our hands and knees searching the shop for the tiny charm, while the manager just watched us completely unbothered. The manager and employee then said this was just something that happens sometimes and offered me another charm, but the charm I had chosen was in the $60 bin and the alternative offered were $160. Despite the manager's disinterest in finding the charm (even though it was the last one in the bin and I really wanted it), my friends and I continued to scour the store and we eventually found it right under the employee's chair. At no point did I receive an apology for the fact that they had accused me of losing it even though I had never even touched it. The manager then tried to tell me that the charm was actually $160 and had just been put in the wrong bin. As you may imagine, this was extremely disappointing given that the store would likely not have found the charm without the help of my friends and I, and there was no reason for the charm to cost $100 more (the manager tried to say it had more gold but it was truly one 3 mm jump ring's worth, which is not a $100 value, and if she were so worried about the value of the charm then why did she not help us find it.. ). Overall it was just a disappointing end, and unfortunate that despite the several hundred dollar business my friends and I gave to this business, they still tried to overcharge me for a charm they had lost. I would not recommend this shop, there are many others in SF with better permanent jewelry prices, better warranties, and...
