This is one of the best sandwiches in SF. I wasn't a big muffaletta guy until I tasted the magic that Sandy's is serving up. These sandwiches are the real deal - top shelf ingredients piled high between two slices of bread. They're also massive, which is great because you can save some bites for later.

The fun doesn't end with the sandwiches- the coleslaw is so fresh and so clean it'll make you want to dance. I always thought of coleslaw as mayo with a side of cabbage - not here. Sandy's has reinvented the slaw into a perfect combination of herbs and pickled veggies. It's amazing.

Last but not least, the chocolate cookie. This thing is a beast - it's everything you look for in a cookie. Proper amounts of chocolate nestled safely in a chewy but not too chewy cookie base. A must have dessert after you've feasted on the muffaletta and slaw.

I love coming here for the food but honestly the folks working the shop (Moni and Peterson) are also gems in their own respect. Keep doing...

Okurrr! Let me tell you about Sandy’s in New Orleans, ’cause this spot is straight fire, baby!

First of all, when you walk in, the vibe is on point—real cozy, real chill. And Tala at the register? She’s a whole mood, honey! Friendly, quick with a smile, and makes you feel like you’re part of the fam, ya feel me?

Now, let’s get into that muffuletta, ’cause this sandwich? It’s giving EVERYTHING it’s supposed to give, okurrr! We’re talking layers on layers of that good-good—flavorful meats, melty cheese, and that olive salad? Whew, it’s spicy, it’s zesty, it’s EVERYTHING! And don’t even get me started on the bread—it’s crispy, it’s soft, it’s perfection!

If you’re in New Orleans and you ain’t hit up Sandy’s yet, what is you doin’, baby? This muffuletta is a whole experience, and you need it in your life! So, go on, treat yourself, and thank me...

Food is great, service is friendly, place is small so most likely it will be to go. I’d never had a muffuletta before, so good with a little bit of heat! I’d like to try the mushroom too but then they added a hot ham sandy to the menu and omg this is amazing - if you like savory with a hint of sweetness (apple butter) this is for you! Hope they make it permanent 🙏🏻. My only notes are: the owner won’t put certain things (ham sandy) available to order online because… I don’t really get it - I’ve picked one up before and had to wait an hour before eating and it was delicious perfection. I would have tried the tomato sandwich if I could have ordered online but unfortunately missed that one. Also, I know rents are crazy, but $6 for a cookie is a bit much. The pimento cheese spread is also yummy, would...

Both of their muffulettas are absolutely incredible- different enough that I shared 1/8 of each and we couldn’t decide which one was better. Top sandwich spot in SF, and nothing else like it right now in the city. Would recommend to anyone- can’t wait to come in another day and try their sausage sandwich which is still unavailable (but they said soon!) Tip- if you’re not eating in walk a half block to Gus’s to get a drink, and then keep going for about 4 mins to the Golden Gate Park and picnic it out. (The sandwiches will hold up the way there + pit stop without getting soggy)

Been following them since they were a pop up. Amazing sandwiches that are stuffed. They really pile it on inside the sandwich and pretty much every bite is a perfect bite. If you love good substantial sandwich, try them out. They also have mushroom version of the muffuletta which I’ll try next time! It’s easy to grab and take a walk to the park to enjoy. The slaw is also recommended! It’s fresh and tangy and if you love the flavor of Dill, you’ll love this! Brown butter cookie is also so good with the salt flakes on top.
