Ducked into Telve â A Turkish Delight on Union Street!
I happened into Telve, a cozy Turkish coffee house on Union St. in San Francisco, and let me just sayâit was one of the BEST experiences Iâve had in a while.
The real gem? Fatih. His hospitality was unmatched. He welcomed me with samples of Turkish delightsâSaffron, Pomegranate, Brownie & Rose Creamâa sweet, chewy confection that truly awakened my tastebuds.
Then came a tasting of Apricot tea and Comforting tea, each with its own story, which Fatih generously shared. If you know me, you know I love learning about different culturesâthis was such a treat.
I mentioned I was looking for lunch, and he recommended the Turkish Paniniâa grilled cheese with Soujouk, a flavorful Turkish sausage he said reminded him of his childhood. Yâall⊠it did not disappoint!
I paired it with a cup of Apricot tea and a piece of Walnut Baklava, and instead of taking it to go, I sat and watched Fatih interact with each customer like they were the only one in the room. It was beautiful to witnessâand added so much joy to the experience.
Highly recommend. Iâll definitely be...

The colorful, intricate tile tables set the perfect Mediterranean vibe. I ordered Turkish coffee, and it came in the most beautifully ornate silver set such a special touch that made the whole experience feel luxurious and traditional. âïž The coffee itself was rich, bold, and perfectly brewed, just like how it should be.
I also tried their baklava, and wow it was absolutely delicious! Flaky, perfectly sweet, and fresh, served beautifully on a rustic plate alongside shiny silverware. đ° Every bite melted in my mouth.
The atmosphere here is charming, cozy, and truly feels like a little piece of Istanbul right in San Francisco. Whether you're coming for breakfast, dessert, or just coffee, Telve Cafe is a hidden gem you must visit. Can't wait to...

I ordered two hot chocolates and a Nutella pastry to go. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the hot chocolate; it tasted mostly like milk with little to no rich chocolate flavor. However, the Nutella pastry was delicious â perfectly flaky and filled with a generous amount of Nutella, making up for the lackluster hot chocolate.
Despite the hot chocolate not living up to expectations, the overall experience at the cafĂ© was enjoyable. The ambiance truly captures the essence of the Middle East, and Iâd love to come back to try more items from the menu. The pastries, in particular, seem like theyâre worth...
