Palmetto Superfoods - Marina — Restaurant in San Francisco

If I had to get a healthy smoothie or acai bowl on my way to/from the Marina or Cow Hollow gyms or the Presidio, I come to Palmetto Cow Hollow shop. This is the sister shop to Palmetto in the Inner Sunset. Fresh fresh fruits and ingredients put together in a drink or a bowl. I got a Just Acai smoothie. Super thick with banana. Added in cashew butter. All the fruits are in season(strawberries, blueberries). They even have collagen add in powder (!). Loved the taste of my smoothie. It’ll keep me going as a midday meal, a breakfast, or a post morning workout fueling. Drop in on Palmetto for some delicious + healthy food/drinks!

Stopped by 7/27/21 Got a custom acai bowl! Love this business. Frequent the one in the Inner Richmond too. This biz gave healthcare workers at SF General Hospital free acai bowls at the start of the pandemic! They kept it up and gave bowls to UCSF hospital staff! I support the altruism here. Their bowls are delicious 😋 too!

9/23/21 Had to eat light midday. Don’t want to be really full & sleepy. Got a custom acai bowl at Palmetto Union Street. Easy to order from the kiosk. Got my bowl just as I like it (for me...

They have a great array of toppings and different bases. However, I found the base to taste processed and syrupy. I got the palm bowl with açaí, pitaya, and spirulina.

The service could be improved. The store had two employees and just me as a customer. The cashier took my order, but no one started preparing it for 5 min. The other employee was cleaning the kitchen and looked over tentatively several times as if expecting an order. Finally, I told the cashier I was in a hurry. She said “Oh whoops sorry yeah I’ll submit the order.”

After I left the store with my order, I realized they made me a small size instead of the medium size I ordered. I had to go back to the store where they remade it.

I get that mistakes happen, but the combination of not being attentive to the customer when they weren’t busy and getting the order wrong wasn’t the best...

Okay, so I loved the option that you could create your own bowls. You can get creative and you get a lot in a small container.

Drawbacks, it's very small inside, cramped, hot and stuffy, sweating bullets while ordering, and then one of the girls dumped a container of dirty water where they reside their used knives, into a large container of the blue chia pudding.

The girl ran to grab a towel, attempted to soak up the dirty water and then stirred in the rest into the pudding......

I don't understand why she didn't take it out and dispose of it.

And I was planning on buying some, but after seeing what she did, I was disgusted and turned off.

Made me wonder what other questionable things they do in...
