Tricolore Caffè & Pizzeria and Catering — Restaurant in San Francisco

I think it's especially magical when you can walk into a cafe/pizzeria and instantly be greeted with a warm smile and the smell of pizza. This is hands down my favorite place to eat in the Financial District. The Decor and food remind me of a little cafe in Southern Italy.

Mike, the owner, actually takes the time to get to know all of his customers, sometimes by name and sometimes by order. Regardless, he or Joe will always ask me how my day is going and always make me like family.

My Go-To is Half Salmon Panini and a small Caesar - Let me break it down: Fresh Focaccia, Marscapone Cheese, with Smoked Salmon and lettuce. Don't get it toasted... It's better cold. They make their Caesar dressing fresh and in house. It's the perfect amount of food. Now, if I'm feeling a little fancier, I opt for the Ravioli al Pesto. There is just something about how creamy and perfectly salted that pasta is!

This is perhaps the only place in SF that truly cultivates a neighborhood with its personalised care and service, all thanks to owner Michael. The regulars become a delightful bouquet of business folks, working class , and artists , and the space itself is sophisticated yet inviting. Pay attention to the green window shutters framed on the walls and the wine label imprints—small details that elevate the experience. As a vegetarian, I particularly love their tomato lentil soup, Caprese salad, and the pizza with artichoke and mushroom. One of the best restaurants in been in san Francisco so far. They have a huge menu and almost all the italian food you could ask for. Not just the food but their customer service is amazing. I really liked the guy who helped me with my order. I am not sure if he was the owner or not but he was so sweet and friendly.
